May #3

Because of the problems Daphne faces with speech and communication we were able to get her into preschool at Snalnave,Sami's Elementary school. She is a September birthday and won't start kindergarten until fall 2015, most likely after we move from Cheney, but since she got approved they felt no reason to not start her right away, getting 5 weeks of school in before the summer break...
Silly Daphne, the spotlight was on her, all ready for school.
She goes Monday and Wednesday 8:20-2:50 and Sami Tues and Thurs and every other Friday same times... it's nice to have one on one time with them and have them not be around each other as much.
Walmart had a small selection of backpacks but luckily they had a minnie mouse backpack... love it! We loaded her up with her lunch, her blanket and Woody doll, change of clothes, and some pull ups for school. She has more stuff in her backpack than Sami does.... she loves school. She sometimes will take the required nap, and she sings the songs she learns when she comes home. I can't understand most of it but when you ask her about her day she rattles off everything she did, and sometimes just tells you the naughty things she did.
Her second day of school I asked her how was school? "I ran away from my teachers," he he he.
"Daphne your not supposed to run away from your teachers"
"he he he"
"Sami do you run away from your teachers?"
"No, of course not"
"Daphne we don't run away from our teachers"
To be a mean mom after Daphne's first day of school i took her and Sami to the library for the
"Elephant and Piggie Party"
it was a party based off the books by Mo Willems.
We had never read them so the stuff at the party didn't make a lot of since, but we checked out books that day and so the nest on Daphne's head makes tons of sense and the party outfits make plenty of sense. The nest on the head is by far our favorite book of the series, we need to read the rest, we will see how it turns out.

Ezra being a champ through the whole thing, especially with the angry bird crackers I was slipping him.

It was probably one of the hardest days I have ever had as a mom in a long time, (last one I found out Sami might have Aspergers), the girls were so tired, and just fed up. Sami got in her mind that a certain friend was going to be at the party and when she wasn't there, all Hell broke through getting in the van and going home. McD's came in handy on the way home and that is what we ate. I was in no mood to make food after those tantrums! But it was a fun party and glad we went.
