Friday I was kinda having a bad day and so I ignored my messy house and took the girls to the sprinkler park by the library. After we got there I let Sami free in her swim suit. She must have gone down the tallest slide like 20 times during our visit there... as she was playing I was with Daphne on the blanket and noticed something fun going on closer to the library. I went and asked some kids and they told me that it was a "Summer Reading Program Party/Carnival" so I packed the stuff up and walked around with the girls. They did the limbo, painted some pictures, ate some food...
did the hula hoop, won a free princess book, and other different things. It was sure fun. While we were there a friend of mine Janelle from the ward showed up and so that made it more fun. We met her back by the sprinklers as another lady Dorothy from our ward came and than right as we were leaving I noticed Kate and Keri. It was a great day. We were there from 1:30 to 4:30.
Wow look at these clouds... Daphne was in a great moods. As you can tell she ate some crackers...
When we got home Sami asked to take a nap and so did Daphne and I hit the kitchen so it was clean for when we had dinner. We picked Dave up for work and got Papa Murphy's and than when we got home Sami asked to take another nap... she was beat! I sure know how to wear her out. I love that park and so for anyone who ever wants to go to that park this summer let me know I will meet you whenever. Dave works 9-6 this summer and so I have plenty of time to enjoy over there.
Tonight we had a FHE group get together and each kid had there own car to sit in while we watched most of "Cars" the movie. It was a hit. Sami didn't really sit in her car, but I got her to cheese it. The other cars were painted and the Platt's went all out and made Lightning McQueens car... it was big enough for 3 kids to sit in... it was a hit. We just covered ours with construction paper on it and named it "3", gee I wonder why?
Speaking of Sami... for those of you who don't know she turns 3 this coming Friday the 18th... and I am getting a tad sad. She starts pre-school and dance this fall and before I know it she is going to be heading to kindergarten... she is growing up so fast... stubborn and smart... it's not a very enjoyable combination... I hope all of you who got invites are coming... we are going to have snacks and play in the sprinkler's at the sprinkler park.. .of course our favorite place.
