4th of July!

Well, 4th of July just doesn't seem right since we have lived in Cheney. We don't have barbecue's with family, we don't watch fire works, but we do have fun and enjoy the day. The 4th just happens to be crappy and fall right during the school quarter and so Dave ends up doing homework most the day.
So we did what we did last year and drove to the closest lake Fish Lake, (I think) and had a picnic.
I didn't invest money in Americana shirts this year, but we have these cute skirts that I got the girls on a whim at Children's place. So we wore those!

Sorry cleavage shot... I guess if you've got it flaunt it... but having our picnic.... I was having a bad hair day and so I didn't really want my picture taken...
I spent the morning making cupcakes and potato salad!
Out on the dock, it was pretty... but yucky water...

I can't remember exactly what we told The girls to get them away from there, but it was pretty scary because they were done...
Walking back... I need to frame this one!
Ezra's in jail... reaching for his dad... so cute!
Our handsome man!

We came home had naps and than around dinner time we went in search of food. We tried the local pizza place it was closed... so we drove into Airway Heights and had McD's and let the kids play on the play ground, than we walked around Walmart and checked out bbque's, our anniversary is coming up and so we might buy one for each other!

Hope everyone else had a good 4th, and kept the meaning of the holiday in your hearts!
Go USA...
Well if you felt sorry for me, than come visit me next year and we will have fun!

July!

So it's finally summer here we have nice 80 degree weather most days, accompanied by a breeze most days, it's great. We are enjoying it as much as we can because we know as soon as September hits it will start to cool down and than snow will soon follow... it's fantastic!
Dave got the girls to build a tent and it was one that Mom was not allowed in...
They love to play the guitar!
We were early to my doctor's apt in Spokane Valley and so the girls had some fruit snacks and I snapped some fun pictures!
On the 4th we didn't do tons that was picture worthy. We went to our ward 5k walk and pancake feed, came home took naps, went to Taco Bell for lunch, went to the store to get essentials, came home, I took the girls in there pool, and I made oven fried chicken and apple crisp and we watched Iron Man 2...
Sorry the pictures are so dark... but we had the place all to ourselves... Dave was Capt America for the day!
Yesterday we went into town and took Sami to her 4 year old well child. She got 4 shots and did pretty well, she is getting better at this doctor thing. Her legs are still a little sore and I know they will be but she leaves her bandaids alone...
We gave her oreo's and a green popsicle to soothe her pain.
We were watching a show while I waited to go to Young Women's... Daphne was bugging her dad while he was trying to draw...
My girls are becoming the greatest of pals... they love to watch shows together especially Dora and the Disney Movies, and they love to eat the same things, and play with each other... Daphne is learning to handle some of Sami's playing a lot better and they are forming a great bond, it's such a blessing I love my girls!

June fun!

June has been a good month for us, the girls have kept me busy of course, and we took some side trips which I will show you next.. but first... I love when I catch the girls doing something just so different or mean, or silly.
I was sitting on the couch resting after going on a long walk to the park with a friend (and the girls) and Daphne was down for a nap and Sami whinned for a bit about not being able to watch what she wanted to watch but than grabbed a blanket and laid down on the bean bag and fell asleep. Soon after I realized she was out cold, Daphne woke up and I delayed getting her up knowing she would just wake up her sister...
We had left over pizza for lunch and Daphne ate her's at the table than I let her down and she decided she needed the pizza crust that Sami had fallen asleep holding... silly girl...
She got it... the little piggy!
My mom made this sign at her craft day a couple weeks ago and she made one for me... I love it... and it fits this spot.
It say's Betsy Ross Flag Company since 1776
After I hung it up I started trying to understand why this was important and so than I remembered that Betsy Ross made the first flag and 1776 is important because that is the year we declared our independance... July 4, 1776
Sometimes I think that people forget that July 4 isn't just about fireworks, and pigging out and spending time with family, it's important to focus on why that day is so important because since our Declaration of Independence hardly matters to our current poor excuse of a president... we still need to remember that Our country first started when we had a king but he decided he didn't want to be king, and that we would do things differently, we are not like all the other countries out there we are different. We allow anyone to live here, with a green card of course and we don't discriminate against them. I know I have a hard time with it too, but if it wasn't for my ancestors moving here from England and Ireland I would not be here... I am a foreigner too, it's a stretch but come on!
Ok, well that's my little tid bit of political information... just thought I would share... I try to ignore politics the best I can, they depress and anger me! Don't get me started on why I do not watch TV... and/or the news... this Casey Anthony trial is pathetic... hello she killed her kid, there is no other way around it! She has no soul! put her in jail, give her the chair! Whatever... she will get hers, if not in this life the next!
It's not a normal day if Daphne doesn't sit on the table and eat out of a box... I think because of the thrill of eating somewhere she is not supposed to be she likes to eat, because if I give her a bowl of cereal on the ground, she eats like two and dumps them over and smashes them... I will never understand!
Oh I am proud of this girl... we lost the binkie for a day and she started saying all these words... it's awesome... so she sleeps with it and that's all! I would just throw it away, heaven knows my husband votes for that every day, but he isn't the one who has to get up with her in the middle of the night and console her! I just let the binkie do it!
