July!

So it's finally summer here we have nice 80 degree weather most days, accompanied by a breeze most days, it's great. We are enjoying it as much as we can because we know as soon as September hits it will start to cool down and than snow will soon follow... it's fantastic!
Dave got the girls to build a tent and it was one that Mom was not allowed in...
They love to play the guitar!
We were early to my doctor's apt in Spokane Valley and so the girls had some fruit snacks and I snapped some fun pictures!
On the 4th we didn't do tons that was picture worthy. We went to our ward 5k walk and pancake feed, came home took naps, went to Taco Bell for lunch, went to the store to get essentials, came home, I took the girls in there pool, and I made oven fried chicken and apple crisp and we watched Iron Man 2...
Sorry the pictures are so dark... but we had the place all to ourselves... Dave was Capt America for the day!
Yesterday we went into town and took Sami to her 4 year old well child. She got 4 shots and did pretty well, she is getting better at this doctor thing. Her legs are still a little sore and I know they will be but she leaves her bandaids alone...
We gave her oreo's and a green popsicle to soothe her pain.
We were watching a show while I waited to go to Young Women's... Daphne was bugging her dad while he was trying to draw...
My girls are becoming the greatest of pals... they love to watch shows together especially Dora and the Disney Movies, and they love to eat the same things, and play with each other... Daphne is learning to handle some of Sami's playing a lot better and they are forming a great bond, it's such a blessing I love my girls!

Nothing but Organizing!

So I have been kind of in a creative funk, I blame it on the ants that just can't seem to get enough of my kitchen floor, I just don't understand, if anything it has forced me to be a better house cleaner (which I confess I really wasn't very good, I still am not great but improved). I vacuum my carpet every other day, and sweet my floor after any food is eaten in it. They seem to come around less often when the swamp cooler is on... thank goodness! Although I have discovered, they do not like my vacuum! So I labeled my canisters, it gives it a homey feel and I enjoy it... it helps and it looks nicer to me ! I made this thing I have been wanting one of these ever since I saw "Marley & Me" they had one hanging on there wall. It's cool, but I keep forgetting to use it! I don't have a very good place for it. I have had the clear calendar part for awhile but I just had it stuck to the side of my fridge and than the frames were on sale at Craft warehouse and so I went for it... it was hard trying to find a piece of paper to go behind that would still be able to show the ink of my markers... they don't sell black dry erase markers by themselves unless you want to spend $6... I had some wood just hanging around and I got these cute black and white photos of us and so I put them to good use. It was fun. I also made one for my bedroom with blue, and made one for my dad for father's day to put up in there house in the mountain. It was a hit... So I had fun getting ready for Sami's party and made this banner to hang up at home... I need to re-design how I do this because it was a lot of letters and they wouldn't lay right... Up close picture... I love the sebastian! I love displaying cards, and this is the best way I have found to do so, especially around Christmas time. I had to do a close up of the Mermaid card and Shelly's "Oh Happy Day"... so dang cute... (Shelly we need to have a craft day...)
Ok, so that is what I have been up to. I take time every day to re-organize something because I love doing it. And there is always something to organize. Today I organized my cupboards because the shelf holders were breaking and so I had to take the weight off of them... I just switched some stuff around in a couple cupboards and it really freed up some room. I also have been organizing my magazine articles. I love taking clippings from magazines and have so many but I always go back to them for re-decorating, dealing with my kids, cooking... whatever and so I have been put it all into binders and organizing... it's taking me longer than hoped and so I will have to show my result. I love looking at other's blogs and seeing there decorating or there organization and so if you have something on your blog that fits those categories share... we can trade secrets!
Well Enjoy!

Just us Girls!

So we went to the park for a play date on Thursday and I made the girls dress alike to take pictures... they were wearing pink pants and brown shirts... thankfully there jackets match and so it was ok that they stayed on because it was so cold outside... I just gotta say... Sami looks like a little model here... no she will not be a model of any sort for money... I don't believe in child modeling... but wow she is so pretty here...
Friday since it poured rain all day we got a little bit of cabin fever and so while we were waiting for Dave to get home from work I grabbed the camera... this is what we are like at home... just a bunch of crazies... and yes we all match... I explained to to my friend earlier this week that I will pick out matching outfits for the girls on purpose and than I am just in the mood to wear certain colors and so I end up matching them, when that really wasn't my intentions! Check out Daphne's good grip on my hair... that will explain my face and the fact that Sami is bitting me! Now I am getting choked... Daphne trying once again to get the camera... We were getting her ready for her bath this morning and Dave just loves her chubbiness... Pure delight here... she has become our middle of the night muncher... she wakes up at 12 to eat than at 2 and than again at 4 and I just have to feed her regular food because since it has been over night I am empty... she loves to eat! She loves to eat everything but her baby food... sister has been eating a lot of Oreo's and she gets one when sister has some.. and she is a oreo mess... it's so funny! Today we went to Wal-Mart and when we got home I just busted out laughing because she was completely covered in Oreo cookie... it sure kept her happy! She loves Oreo's just like her sister... I think she loves anything cookie like...

Blast From the Past: Teresa and Kim!

This post is dedicated to all my girls from the past, and of course present and future, no matter where we are in life, I hope we always are friends on some level! Thanks for all the great memories, I won't ever forget you! I will be dropping names... but you girls shouldn't mind... your all beautiful!
Out of all the girl friends I have had, I look back and my favorite memories are with these two bombshells, Teresa Walker and Kim (Blodgett) Brown. We have since gone our separate ways, but since what Sophomore/Junior year we were unseparable... we dated 3 guys that were best friends, we hung out together even when one of us was dating someone else... it was the perfect friendship. I think about these girls all the time, and am sad that we aren't still this close, but spouses and kids do get in the way, but hey it was great and you will always be my best friends, no one will ever come as close as you!
Remember Kiss, Kiss my Butt, and This Kiss, and trampolines, parties, kissing, dancing, driving, Taco Bell, pop, movies, tanning, and being nerds together. High school sucked but because I had you, it made it a lot better. To be honest this is one of the only pictures I have us just us three together and I have it framed... I think you girls have your own copies... if not... I can fix ya up! These other two ladies made Senior year great. Kim was in Love with Jason (her now husband) and Teresa was in beauty school and since Kim went to a different high school I got to spend each lunch with these fine ladies. We had some great times, and when we see each other it's as if this wasn't this long ago... I love you Shae and Lee! You made life fun and adventurous... and I am glad we still keep in touch, mostly! Lee, you know I owe you well my family! After I graduated we got a little bored, this was before I got ambition and went off to college, but we would get in the car, steal some warning cones (even with spiders in them), and head to somewhere fun, camera in hand, draw a body with chalk and laugh about it four hours. That was awesome girls... I am glad we had those times... Thanks Mare... you are awesome! I still sing, Mambo #5 with OUR names in it!
As you have noticed I have many groups of friends, but in all honesty we are ALL friends, these are just different experiences and since this is my blast from the Past... I am having fun!
Linsey (Jensen) Rhoten, was a great friend of ours too... she went to the same high school as Kim, and we had some great fun the summer before she got married... and... well you'll see later! Her husband did the framing and some other things on my parents cabin, and she lives in Richland, but we still get to see each other every so often! This is one of my favorite pics... this is me and Kim's little sister Holly, at Kim's wedding reception. I was Kim's Maid of Honor or honorary Maid of Honor... it was a sad day for me... but It was good times. My only picture on this page with yucky boys in it... I won't name them all... if you know them, cool, if not... it's ok, they are still cool boys, I think! I am focusing on the group of girls cuddling on the bottom of the stack... Me, Tree, Summer, Rach, and Emily... this was one of my favorite dances in high school, we had a blast. We all are still friends, at least on face book, Emily... where are you? It's great fun, I love them all so much... glad we had this great memory to look back on, you guys rock! Me and Berly... at college. When I went to BYU-I Kim was living a couple of apartments down, and since most of my roommates were jerks... (I'm not gonna lie, they hated me, I hated them, they know it I know it), well I spent a lot of time with Kim. It was because of Kim, I made it successfully through school at BYU-I, hence the summer term she went home, and I followed her 1 mo later, after dropping out, It was worth it! Another great time, out of all my years at girls camp, this one was my favorite... Berly dancing and putting on a show to "Summer Lovin' " from Grease, having our younger girls too look after, we had a ton of fun. Hiking up and down that awful hill, and swimming in that freezing pool, it was great! Here is when I became friends with Kim... (by the way Berly.. I dig the teddy bear shirt), I was already friends with Linsey from Highlands, and Kim was our same age but a year younger in school, but we meet here and it kinda went from there... this was on our 1st year hike... us young... 12 year olds... ( i think) it was great! Here we are... some of the girls again, hanging at our favorite place... the Seminary Building.. I love these girls and miss every moment of high school because of them... thanks guys!
Hope you all enjoyed my Sunday boredom Blog post... and got to know me a little bit better, Yeah I got nothing to hide, I am confident! I love you girls... Kim, Teresa, Lecia, Shaela, Linsey, Marren, Rachel, Summer... etc... Love you all and hope to see you soon sometime in passing! Take Care, and I am always up for a little chatting!
