Kennewick!

So School ended on Thursday, Sami's party was Monday and Tuesday we headed to Kennewick for the week. The girls had a great time picking grandma's raspberries it's one of Sami's favorite things to do.

We had a huge family barbeque and I made felt masks for all the kids. I forgot to give my sisters boys theres...
The boys got Batman for Ezra's side of the party and the girls got Pony... There are other pictures from this party but where they are I have no clue!

Wow... 31... yuck!

For my birthday... a month ago... I got to go shopping...
I bought, a new lamp base, a full length mirror, 3 movies, a body pillow, and
some new fabric for my room. Sorry I lightened the pictures but it's still hard to see.. never said I was a good photographer... that is my weakest skill. I made a cover for my body pillow that acts as a head board for our bed, and added some fabric to my existing curtains to make them longer, and covered my lamp shade. I still have fabric left over and will someday be a chair cover... someday!
So... for my birthday...
My mom bought me a new cricut cartridge... and it's a paper doll one
I will be using it a lot, as I am starting a new venture....
"Simply Parties"
As most of you know I am a Partner In Design in
Ransom Made Design
well my mom suggested I make such great party stuff I should start focusing on
making stuff and selling it...
this banner was the first one I made to sell.
horrible once again picture... but it's a banner of 12 kids dressed up in Halloween costumes...
I have got several compliments on it already, and will be selling it at our next event
October 7 & 8 if I haven't sent you an invite let me know and I would be happy to send you one!
My pictures are kind of in here backwards... Friday morning the 9 I left for Kennewick
Dave was going to be working all day Friday and Saturday so I figured what the heck, spend some time with the family for my birthday. We were supposed to head to Post Falls for a big shin dig to celebrate my birthday and Dave's brother Brent's 40th birthday which was the 11, but it didn't work out.
When I got back we went out to Taco Bell for dinner, yes one of my favorites!
Sunday after Regional Conference I remade the
Spaghetti cake and of course it was delicious!
Monday, Daphne fell asleep while we were waiting to go pick
up Sami from preschool... so cute.
I was sitting there working on stuff at the table right next to her and than I hadn't heard her in awhile thinking she was in my bedroom or something and so I started calling her name than I looked over and saw her asleep so funny!
Sunday afternoon the girls gladly helped me decorate for Halloween... it was time to take down the 4th of July decorations. I need some August September decorations...
This was the smattering of birthday cards I got from friends and family... it was so nice!
Friday night my brother and his family came over and my grandma and Paul came over to my parents house and we had cake and ice cream cones... for me and Daphne.
Daphne got a birthday gift from Andy and NaDell... thanks to them, we are never lacking on balls... so fun!
It was a good weekend and it was nice to spend time with my mom, wish I could do it more often. Saturday morning we went over and saw my sister Suzie who just had baby Ryder Tuesday morning at midnight... and he is simply adorable... she has 3 boys now and they are all super cute.
Me and the girls left town after having lunch at Taco Time with my parents and visiting with the Meyers, who are are great friends and past neighbors who had gotten sealed the weekend prior and we couldn't make it... so happy for them.
My parents ended up leaving town after I did and heading up to there mountain in Satus Pass, a huge wild fire started by a semi's exhaust was slowly burning away some houses and land and luckily they had stopped it at the BP line, the Power Line road, which is about a mile from my parents land... so got pretty close... but they are ok and it's all good!
Now on to planning Daphne's party!

Mini-Cation!

Sadly the summer is moving entirely too fast...
Our 5 year anniversary was the 22 of July and so we headed into Kennewick to spend some time with the family.
Here we are waiting in the car while Dave ran into the bank... we had just eaten lunch at McDonald's with my parents and sister Torrie, who just before we came down informed me that she is prego and due in March... another March birthday! Yeah! What is is about that month?
As soon as we got back from lunch we got the girls settled and we set off to celebrate our anniversary. We went to see Harry Potter in 3-D it was such a great movie and now I want to read the whole series again... some day!
Thursday we went to the temple and did an endowment session to celebrate our anniversary officially. Go back to where it all began! It was great. Dave's mom watched the girls. They ate sandwiches, picked her tomatoes, pumpkins, peppers and had a great time mauling Francine! Thanks again Barb your the best. She even took them on when she was sick!
After we picked the girls up we decided to go out to lunch at Azteca and so my mom offered to help us out with the girls once again. Daphne napped and Sami painted! Of course grandma would have her painting, why not!
Dave never sleeps in but took the advantage when we were on vacation! So tired boy!
Than Friday we hung out for a bit than headed home.Of course I headed to the craft store with Sami in the morning first! Dave had a talk to prepare on Pioneers and I of course didn't want the vacation to end, but it was fun, and I came home with quite a few of my mom's cross-stitch magazines to use!
I love how relaxed Daphne gets... she cracks me up!
And of course our joyful driver!
Saturday when Dave went back to work... I guess they missed him!

Sami's Party!

Since we haven't been in Cheney all that long, Sami hasn't made very many friends so we asked her if she wanted to have her party with her kennewick friends and she preferred that... so we took advantage of my mom's great back yard, and scheduled the party for Tuesday the 14th praying the weather would be good.
Sami, is just about potty trained. I made it a goal for her to be pretty good before she turned 4 and I am proud to say that is the case. She wears her panties all the time, unless bedtime, or we are traveling. She goes potty in strange potty's and the worst is behind us (I hope) it's still weird for me, and I still get nervous but I have a spare pair of panties and pants in my purse just in case and haven't had to use them yet. So on the way to Kennewick Tuesday morning, we put her in a pull-up... and kind of forgot that she also needed to be consulted before passing a rest area... so when we were about 20 min away she announced she had to go potty and we were no where near a potty so she sat like this until we got to grandma's and as soon as we got there she jumped out ran inside and took care of business... poor girl. On the way home, I had to force her to go, she is still unsure sometimes, especially with loud toilets!
I have become a big fan of the skinny cow products, hence trying to loose weight but still love me some chocolate.. well Daphne does too... can you tell? I shared with her! I didn't really have a choice!
So after we got to my mom's and realized it was going to be a fantastic day... 80 degree weather that we don't get in Cheney we started getting ready. My parents have been in the middle of remodeling there kitchen and so about an hour before the party started they had water... yeah!
As I set up I sent Dave to get ice, and $5 pizza, since we don't get that here... we missed it!
I bought some blow up balls for the kids to toss around. It kept them busy for about a minute!
Notice Daphne in these pictures two different outfits... she loves dirt and water and so change of clothes was a good thing! I was prepared today for once!
Sami trying not to pick grandma's raspberries!
Dave took these pictures... he was supposed to be watching them...
Daphne loving grandma's pansy's or disguising her dirt play...
As the kids showed up I gave them a lai necklace, most of the boys opted out, and the rest of the kids ripped theres apart... but it was fun! We played duck duck goose or attempted than...
turned on the "Limbo Rock" and limboed... it was good. Only Kyler tilted his head back... but they had a blast!
Than we had cupcakes and ice cream cups...
I made rainbow chip cupcakes and chocolate and they had white frosting and flowers and sprinkles on top, I was pretty proud of myself for that! They looked great! And they had a umbrella stuck in the top!
Than we worked on the pinata. I hung it up and had anyone who wanted to take some swings...
Sami wasn't fond of us hitting the pinata she was sad...
After about 3 rounds of the kids hitting it I broke it the rest of the way apart and the kids picked up the candy and we decided to divide it evenly!
We than pulled the chairs out and into the shade while Sami unwrapped her gifts. She was so happy and was a good present un-wrapper! Everyone spoiled her... and she hasn't even opened our gifts yet!
After wards as everyone started to leave I got super sick and had to go lay down for a bit... than Lecia grabbed me for a picture... with the crazy glasses and all! It was great fun! And I also got to eat a cupcake or two! Not that I need it... stripes do nothing for me! Ewwww!
We bought balloons and had them in various places during the party and when we got home I cut the strings and let them float.. last night I popped them all because the fighting was getting out of control, glad that's over with!
Sami's presents waiting to be opened, tomorrow!
The after math of her present... puzzles in baggies to save space, and polly pocket dolls put away after getting grounded from them... she loves them Suzie and Shelly... she is so thrilled about all her gifs and can't stop playing!
The worst part about creating master pieces is the aftermath of it all... Wednesday I was super busy with Young Womens and Thursday I was super sick and so David ended up helping me out, what a great husband! Now it's just a smaller pile! Those who have dishwashers, be grateful!
Well it was a fun day and I am glad that we got to spend it with our Kennewick Friends! We love you all!
