Sami's Party!

Since we haven't been in Cheney all that long, Sami hasn't made very many friends so we asked her if she wanted to have her party with her kennewick friends and she preferred that... so we took advantage of my mom's great back yard, and scheduled the party for Tuesday the 14th praying the weather would be good.
Sami, is just about potty trained. I made it a goal for her to be pretty good before she turned 4 and I am proud to say that is the case. She wears her panties all the time, unless bedtime, or we are traveling. She goes potty in strange potty's and the worst is behind us (I hope) it's still weird for me, and I still get nervous but I have a spare pair of panties and pants in my purse just in case and haven't had to use them yet. So on the way to Kennewick Tuesday morning, we put her in a pull-up... and kind of forgot that she also needed to be consulted before passing a rest area... so when we were about 20 min away she announced she had to go potty and we were no where near a potty so she sat like this until we got to grandma's and as soon as we got there she jumped out ran inside and took care of business... poor girl. On the way home, I had to force her to go, she is still unsure sometimes, especially with loud toilets!
I have become a big fan of the skinny cow products, hence trying to loose weight but still love me some chocolate.. well Daphne does too... can you tell? I shared with her! I didn't really have a choice!
So after we got to my mom's and realized it was going to be a fantastic day... 80 degree weather that we don't get in Cheney we started getting ready. My parents have been in the middle of remodeling there kitchen and so about an hour before the party started they had water... yeah!
As I set up I sent Dave to get ice, and $5 pizza, since we don't get that here... we missed it!
I bought some blow up balls for the kids to toss around. It kept them busy for about a minute!
Notice Daphne in these pictures two different outfits... she loves dirt and water and so change of clothes was a good thing! I was prepared today for once!
Sami trying not to pick grandma's raspberries!
Dave took these pictures... he was supposed to be watching them...
Daphne loving grandma's pansy's or disguising her dirt play...
As the kids showed up I gave them a lai necklace, most of the boys opted out, and the rest of the kids ripped theres apart... but it was fun! We played duck duck goose or attempted than...
turned on the "Limbo Rock" and limboed... it was good. Only Kyler tilted his head back... but they had a blast!
Than we had cupcakes and ice cream cups...
I made rainbow chip cupcakes and chocolate and they had white frosting and flowers and sprinkles on top, I was pretty proud of myself for that! They looked great! And they had a umbrella stuck in the top!
Than we worked on the pinata. I hung it up and had anyone who wanted to take some swings...
Sami wasn't fond of us hitting the pinata she was sad...
After about 3 rounds of the kids hitting it I broke it the rest of the way apart and the kids picked up the candy and we decided to divide it evenly!
We than pulled the chairs out and into the shade while Sami unwrapped her gifts. She was so happy and was a good present un-wrapper! Everyone spoiled her... and she hasn't even opened our gifts yet!
After wards as everyone started to leave I got super sick and had to go lay down for a bit... than Lecia grabbed me for a picture... with the crazy glasses and all! It was great fun! And I also got to eat a cupcake or two! Not that I need it... stripes do nothing for me! Ewwww!
We bought balloons and had them in various places during the party and when we got home I cut the strings and let them float.. last night I popped them all because the fighting was getting out of control, glad that's over with!
Sami's presents waiting to be opened, tomorrow!
The after math of her present... puzzles in baggies to save space, and polly pocket dolls put away after getting grounded from them... she loves them Suzie and Shelly... she is so thrilled about all her gifs and can't stop playing!
The worst part about creating master pieces is the aftermath of it all... Wednesday I was super busy with Young Womens and Thursday I was super sick and so David ended up helping me out, what a great husband! Now it's just a smaller pile! Those who have dishwashers, be grateful!
Well it was a fun day and I am glad that we got to spend it with our Kennewick Friends! We love you all!

Sara, I must admit that I saw those little princess dolls at our reunion because my niece had them. I totally want them, so that's why I thought Sami might feel the same =)
