Just Trying to Fit In!

This was a few Sunday's ago... My mom made those t-shirt toppers and I got so many compliments on them... I love them... so than I made some skirts to go with them for church... so cute! Daphne had just woken up... she has been really cranky as of late!
We often walk down to the grocery store and pick up a few things and on the way there some lilacs I found had bloomed... so pretty! We have some in our back yard that haven't bloomed yet so when they do I will cut me some for my house. I noticed further down the road is some poppy's so I am going to cut some of those this week.. I don't think anyone will mind! That is the beauty of living in the forrest some things are just wild! You'd be amazed at how many wild daisy's etc I see just scattered everywhere... no one notices or cares... but they are missing out!
We are trying to find our groove in Cheney still... it always takes me at least 6 mo to a year to feel like I fit in and have some good solid friends that I see more often... so I am not getting to bummed yet. There are only 2 family wards in Cheney and the 1st ward has a play group that invites our ward the 2nd ward to. They hold it in the gym and you bring toys for your kids and than just let them play! It is fun! Sami once again kinda keeps to herself but I know as time goes on she will get better. We are leaning towards having her birthday party next month in Kennewick just because she hasn't really made any friends here to have a party with! In due time! Poor girl!
Daphne had a great time snagging peoples toys... I had to keep taking this scooter away from her... it's obvious to everyone but her that she is too small for this toy! Silly girl!
Daphne's new friend Athena brought this big yellow ball... it's awesome we need one...
Sami spent most of her time building blocks and making small talk with Eian who is in her class but equally as shy. I kept telling her, hey go play with those girls... but she never complained... but she is a lot like her dad looking for a piece of paper to draw on... she had fun, and was glad we went... I told her this will be a weekly thing. I think she is looking forward to it
Everyone's super nice here but I am divided I just miss my friends in Kennewick so much it's hard for me... but I am adjusting. We are heading up to my parent's property this weekend for Memorial Day and than hopefully I will be in Kennewick in 2 weeks for a night to throw a party for Sami, we will see...
I will possibly be doing a post tomorrow it all depends if my surprise pulls through... I guess you'll find out!

Children's Museum

A couple of weeks ago I met a friend at the Children's museum at the Broadmore Outlet mall and had somewhat of a good time. I wasn't all that impressed with the staff... every 15 min they would both leave and go out in the parking lot to take a smoke break... sorry I just think it's tacky for people to take there smoke break in front of the store they work at... and they both didn't have to go out... what if we had a question!
My favorite part of it was the bearded dragons they were pretty cool. They had a male and a female! They had a train with a restaurant on it A house with a kitchen A bus a dress up area that Sami had fun in And a stage A fire truck A boat A police car And a slide that Sami just couldn't get the hang of, she kept turning her body half way down and so when she went over the bump she would just fly down the slide... it was so funny! She loved it though!
A group of some girls in my ward went and they had planned it as a huge party with the workers and when they got there no one was there... and they waited for a bit... so it was a bit disappointing. I just remember when I was younger somewhere in town there was this place that was a Science center type place and it was totally cool... more of a museum... I forget where it was and what it was called! But it was much much better!

Pumpkin Patch!

Ok, So I have always wanted to go to a Pumpkin Patch but have never gone. So this past Sunday my good friend Brooke invited me and my girls to go with her pre-school, which consists of 5 kids from our ward that are Sami's friends. Needless to say, we had a blast.
They made an apt and so we arrived at 8:45 for the tour to begin. We dropped Dave off at work and headed out to the Country Mercantile which was quite the ways out. We gathered in the morning chill next to the lamb sign and waited for the rest of the group to arrive. Than we all boarded the wagon for the hay ride out to the pumpkin patch. Here we are at the pumpkin patch. It was a blast. They all walked around and chose there pumpkins. For each person who wanted a pumpkin it was $3. I paid $6 and got these two tiny pumpkins and the tour and it was worth it. We were all discussing how we would have paid more, for the great deal we got. Sami kept picking up different pumpkins thinking we needed to take the whole patch home. Daphne liked her pumpkin, can you tell. After we were ushered over to the hay stack for the kids to climb on. They all made there way up to the very tip top and amazingly all came around the stack and were all lined up for us to take there pictures. This is Mariska, Sami, Tori and Bronx. Sami and Tori are pretty close in age they start Sunbeams in January together and since Tori's mom is the primary president they are getting to be better friends. Mariska and Bronx are already in Sunbeams but they all enjoy each others company as you can tell. This is how high they were... Sami didn't want to come down so I had to go up and get her. This is Daphne and Jane. Jane was born a week and a half, two weeks before Daphne. She is already walking, but she likes Daphne. I was trying to get a picture of Jane side hugging Daphne, but it didn't happen... Daphne loved the attention and I know these two will be great nursery friends. This is the hay stack maze... They had a ton of fun here as well. Can you see Sami? Than we went to the petting zoo. We did not pet any animals, I didn't think too... These bunnies were so cute by far my favorite. And this is a reindeer, he is awesome and I enjoyed him too... I have never seen one. Daphne enjoyed the pig... Afterwards we ended by having juice and cookies... Daphne didn't hesitate to grab a cookie and munch away. We than loaded our pumpkins into the car and than went in the store to shop for chocolates and salsa. We bough a few chocolates and downed them on the long ride back home, and than me and Dave downed the mango salsa in a day... it was great... so worth the trip. I want to go back...

Fun In the Sun

Tuesday we went and visited my good friend Rachel and her kids, and Rachel showed me her player piano. I have never seen one that worked, it was the coolest thing!
Each song has it's separate scroll and it has holes punched in it that play the song... it's pretty cool! Her mom plays the drums and so Sami got on and tried it out... she is a little natural! I got Watermelon for us to eat for dinner one day, and we gave some to Daphne to try out. She sucks the juice out and spits it back out... but this particular piece she was saving for something... Sami has chap stick... can you tell she loves to put it on! For some reason she was eating her tortilla like this... it was pretty funny! Happy oreo girl! I got oreos to get Sami as a reward for sitting on the potty and whenever I give her one, if Daphne sees it, than she of course has to have one as well. It's pretty funny! Wednesday my friend Kim was in town. She came over the weekend, Tuesday we had a girls night and got ice cream and went shopping, but Wednesday the girls all played together. Daphne loved the pool and splashing, she couldn't get enough. We got a baby pool out and filled it up with about 2 in of water and let it warm up for a bit than let Daphne have it all to her self... she loved it! Sami kept dipping her head into the pool... I did that all the time when I was younger! We didn't get enough sleep last night... naps will be necessary for all today, but we get a little silly when that doesn't happen! Daphne is constantly pulling her hair... it's awful!
We are taking a day off from out doors today because we just got too warn out! Enjoy and drink lot of liquid... Dave got dehydrated yesterday... so be careful!

Just us Girls!

So we went to the park for a play date on Thursday and I made the girls dress alike to take pictures... they were wearing pink pants and brown shirts... thankfully there jackets match and so it was ok that they stayed on because it was so cold outside... I just gotta say... Sami looks like a little model here... no she will not be a model of any sort for money... I don't believe in child modeling... but wow she is so pretty here...
Friday since it poured rain all day we got a little bit of cabin fever and so while we were waiting for Dave to get home from work I grabbed the camera... this is what we are like at home... just a bunch of crazies... and yes we all match... I explained to to my friend earlier this week that I will pick out matching outfits for the girls on purpose and than I am just in the mood to wear certain colors and so I end up matching them, when that really wasn't my intentions! Check out Daphne's good grip on my hair... that will explain my face and the fact that Sami is bitting me! Now I am getting choked... Daphne trying once again to get the camera... We were getting her ready for her bath this morning and Dave just loves her chubbiness... Pure delight here... she has become our middle of the night muncher... she wakes up at 12 to eat than at 2 and than again at 4 and I just have to feed her regular food because since it has been over night I am empty... she loves to eat! She loves to eat everything but her baby food... sister has been eating a lot of Oreo's and she gets one when sister has some.. and she is a oreo mess... it's so funny! Today we went to Wal-Mart and when we got home I just busted out laughing because she was completely covered in Oreo cookie... it sure kept her happy! She loves Oreo's just like her sister... I think she loves anything cookie like...
