Something You May Not Know About Me!

I LOVE PUZZLES!!!
It used to be just Puz 3-Ds but when I got married and had no where to store them… I saved my favorites and gave away the rest. I had quite the collection…
I saved R2-D2 and my Monopoly game… that you can play Monopoly with!
My new thing is ones I can store easy, or hang on the wall, to display, something with purpose.
I discovered this style what ever you want to call it a few years ago, and so when ever I see one I don't have I add to the collection.
They are Thomas Kincaid Disney puzzles. I like them because they have the painting style but with the Disney theme… so it's more like a work of art than a cartoon picture. So I am still missing a few in the collection but over time as I find them for good prices I will keep adding. The hope is to someday have a play room, tv room, or informal family room where the kids play to display them on a large wall in a collage… I love them, and the kids love them so it all works! I put them together with my spare time, than I glue them and put them on the wall, they all need proper frames…. Right now they are on the walls in the girls room and Ezra's room… we have vaulted ceiling down the middle of our house and so it helps to have the space to put them. I recently bought a puzzle mat so that I can work on it and than put it away and not have any progress lost. It's great, if you are a puzzle addict like me it's a good investment especially with kids. It's a large piece of felt bigger than my biggest puzzle (Greg Olsen at the bottom), and than a inflatable tube that you roll it up… and velcro straps and you can buy them anywhere for about $13. I love it!
My most recent finished this in two days… spaced out time but probably my fastest!
"Princess and the Frog"
18x14
 "Cinderella"
 My first in the collection
"101 Dalmatians"
My biggest one… and also most detailed and hardest to put together.
"Snow White and Seven Dwarfs"
smallest one
"Pinocchio"
18x14
"Peter Pan"
18x14
"Jungle Book"
and
"Lion King"
18x14
I had some major issues with the Jungle Book, as you can see I have two missing pieces…
who knows if they got thrown out or fell off my puzzle mat, a kid hid them… I'm assuming they will turn up, if not oh well… and than as I was flipping it over to glue It all fell apart and so i had to do it all over again… after a over night break because of complete frustration
I have a few non Thomas Kincaid…. great movie posters… the girls love!
 and a baby "Greg Olsen"

This is my largest puzzle I have ever completed it has hung on our wall in our front room since I completed it almost 3 years ago. I was really excited, after I moved to Cheney a lady was moving out and she was getting rid of stuff and I got a bunch and this was in it… I love it and hope to add more Greg Olsen's to my collection!
When I was expecting Ezra I was getting his room decor together and found these puzzles at the Dollar Tree and I love how they look all framed up in his room… so cheap and easy… a good idea for anyone fixing up a room! You can find a puzzle your kid loves and do the same thing!

Well there ya go… 'one' of my hidden addictions…

Fun times!

These are some random photos I have been taking this fall/winter on my phone…
Hopefully I am not the only one but I like to take pictures when I see something funny, or in a good moment of the day… Enjoy!
If you have ever lived in Cheney, Wa you would know this little fact but if not let me share:
Cheney is not just right off the highway, it's about 10 miles off the highway that heads into Spokane. So when I am headed home from Kennewick I take the Tyler exit, and drive 10 miles into Cheney, and live off that same road… it's one road… that goes in and out of Cheney… than it goes all the way through town and spits out on the other side, 10 minutes down the highway is another exit for Four Lakes. Than it's another 15-20-30 minutes into Spokane depending on the weather and traffic… yeah I know pretty random… I have timed it so many times and I give myself at least an hour to get to an apt because I just never know…
This photo I took as I was heading into Spokane. It amazed me because the weather in 4 Lakes and Airway Heights, which are the two cities right by the free way, is always so different than in Cheney… it might be a clear day in Cheney but than you head towards 4 Lakes the weather changes in a snap… and it might be snowing there. My oddest example of this was last week I was heading into Spokane and I got to 4 Lakes I was like is it snowing? 10 miles down the road, same elevation and the weather is different odd. Than I pull onto the free way and start heading towards Spokane and the ground is covered in snow… and it's snowing… I start to panic knowing i have bad tires and than as I am about to take the next exit to Air Way Heights… the snow stops and the roads are clear…. so strange… It has been so foggy here and not snowing hardly at all, when it does it's a light dusting… not good for this time of year…and it will bite us in the butt come summer when there aren't a lot of crops and tons of bugs… YUCK!!!
My little driving companion… he sits behind mom and he is always in a good mood… he is my little Spider man… and I love that I get to spend every day with him… I never tire of him… he is pure delight and I am happy he is not walking because than he would turn into someone completely naughty and devilish… and my Ezra is neither of those things…
there's a Sears in town and the light has been burnt out for awhile… so it's my store
'Sars'
Made this awhile back and it is for sale at the local shop where I sell my capes…
velcro Dinosaur tale….

Some of the cousins waiting patiently on Christmas Eve for there nativity puppet… it went from calm to utter chaos a few minutes later when Daphne and Abby (who is sitting next to her) didn't like the puppets they got… Yikes!
Driving home from Kennewick… gave Ezra his Little People Construction set to play with… I guess he likes it!
One of the things I bought myself… Thomas Kincaid Cinderella Puzzle.
I love these puzzles I have a 101 Dalmatians, Pinocchio, Snow White, Cinderella
I just need, Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Bambi… just gotta find them at $10 a piece…
I love them… I mod podge them and put them on the walls in the kids bedrooms… one of these days we will have a playroom/family room and they will go there or a movie room…
After Christmas me and Dave got hit with the Bronchitus crap…. Daphne had a bit of it….
finally went to the doctor after having it for a week and there was nothing that could be done…
water, and rest are the best things…

Once a week it seems we hit up a Walmart to buy the essentials… food, crap for the house…
This day last week we were in search of shoes… well since I am poor this is a good place to buy them… especially since the kids trash them and wear them out so fast.
We were in the Valley for some other stuff so we hit up the Walmart there… and Score
they have  MCDONALDS in there store….
it was fantastic… I was so happy it was 10 but we had lunch anyways…
It reminded me of the Walmart me and Dave lived by in Orem…
and the Walmart that used to be on Canal…
I ended up getting Daphne's shoes at Ross for $8 Carters brand
and Ezra's at Walmart for $12 Carter's brand… he is getting a lot better at mobility now that his toes don't turn in while he is standing…
Who ever said that soft soled shoes are the best for kids to learn to walk in is just lame…
and no I don't care if it's medically proven… as soon as I have got my kids some sturdy shoes that hold there feet well with a hard bottom they learned to walk… that's a fact!
TO EACH THERE OWN!!!
He probably would have been walking sooner had I bought him some decent shoes to learn in…
He did enjoy wearing his Robeez that were Yoda that my sister gave us…
but not ideal for walking…
No he is not walking yet but he is well on his way… Sami didn't walk til 22 months and Ezra is only 20 months so as long as he is walking by the warmer weather I am happy!

Hope you enjoyed!

Snow, Snow, Go AWAY!!!

So what do you do when you live in the woods and you walk out side and see this? A blizzard in April? You stay inside, eat goodies, and...
Put together really hard puzzles. I started this yesterday morning and finished it last night before I went to bed. I am going to hang it on the wall so I will show you that later. I love Greg Olsens paintings, and believe it or not this puzzle was given to us, unwrapped I was so excited since you all know how much I love putting together puzzles!
You also pretend your pants are bunny ears and...
tickle your kids right before bed, and
Laugh with them and at them when they are being too silly for words.
It didn't snow here yesterday... but it did in Airway Heights were Dave works, he said the sky was white because it was coming down so much. It snowed here... Friday? It snows a lot and than it's all nice and sunny... I just pretend I live in the mountains, which I kinda do, I don't know the elevation but I know it's high enough...
All you Tri-City friends be thinking of me when you are out doing yard work and I am caught in a snow storm in April... this week it's supposed to be in the low to mid 50's but it can still snow... I rode my bike to the library this morning for reading time and it was so windy... but it was good exercise... I checked out the book "Something Borrowed" it's supposed to be a movie coming out soon. I am excited. The next time I am in town I want to go see a movie with some girls... the new Jane Eyre or this movie... I'll be in touch. So far the next time we leave town we know will be Memorial Day Weekend but we aren't coming to Kennewick we are going to Timber Crest my parents cabin... there house will be all torn up with kitchen remodel... but i'll let you gals know and we will get together for sure! But keep in mind... there are several small water parks and the famous River Front park if anyone ever wants to come up for the day... I would be ecstatic to have vistors...
