I LOVE PUZZLES!!!
It used to be just Puz 3-Ds but when I got married and had no where to store them… I saved my favorites and gave away the rest. I had quite the collection…
I saved R2-D2 and my Monopoly game… that you can play Monopoly with!
My new thing is ones I can store easy, or hang on the wall, to display, something with purpose.
I discovered this style what ever you want to call it a few years ago, and so when ever I see one I don't have I add to the collection.
They are Thomas Kincaid Disney puzzles. I like them because they have the painting style but with the Disney theme… so it's more like a work of art than a cartoon picture. So I am still missing a few in the collection but over time as I find them for good prices I will keep adding. The hope is to someday have a play room, tv room, or informal family room where the kids play to display them on a large wall in a collage… I love them, and the kids love them so it all works! I put them together with my spare time, than I glue them and put them on the wall, they all need proper frames…. Right now they are on the walls in the girls room and Ezra's room… we have vaulted ceiling down the middle of our house and so it helps to have the space to put them. I recently bought a puzzle mat so that I can work on it and than put it away and not have any progress lost. It's great, if you are a puzzle addict like me it's a good investment especially with kids. It's a large piece of felt bigger than my biggest puzzle (Greg Olsen at the bottom), and than a inflatable tube that you roll it up… and velcro straps and you can buy them anywhere for about $13. I love it!
My most recent finished this in two days… spaced out time but probably my fastest!
"Princess and the Frog"
18x14
"Cinderella"
My first in the collection
"101 Dalmatians"
My biggest one… and also most detailed and hardest to put together.
"Snow White and Seven Dwarfs"
smallest one
"Pinocchio"
18x14
"Peter Pan"
18x14
"Jungle Book"
and
"Lion King"
18x14
I had some major issues with the Jungle Book, as you can see I have two missing pieces…
who knows if they got thrown out or fell off my puzzle mat, a kid hid them… I'm assuming they will turn up, if not oh well… and than as I was flipping it over to glue It all fell apart and so i had to do it all over again… after a over night break because of complete frustration
I have a few non Thomas Kincaid…. great movie posters… the girls love!
and a baby "Greg Olsen"
This is my largest puzzle I have ever completed it has hung on our wall in our front room since I completed it almost 3 years ago. I was really excited, after I moved to Cheney a lady was moving out and she was getting rid of stuff and I got a bunch and this was in it… I love it and hope to add more Greg Olsen's to my collection!
When I was expecting Ezra I was getting his room decor together and found these puzzles at the Dollar Tree and I love how they look all framed up in his room… so cheap and easy… a good idea for anyone fixing up a room! You can find a puzzle your kid loves and do the same thing!
Well there ya go… 'one' of my hidden addictions…
