Gotta love play dates. We don't do them enough. We got invited over to the Pratts to swim well the kids to swim and there were 3 other mom's there besides the hostess Stacie. It was great fun. I wasn't so sure how it was going to go when we first got there with Sami and her reluctancy but I gave her the benefit of the doubt and she got her suit on and decided to give it a try, she stayed in the whole time playing with the water, and only sat on my lap a couple of times crying for being bullied or touched but an unknown child!
Here she is with Claire Pratt. She is 6 mo or so older than Sami and this was her stuff, she did a great job of sharing with everyone and playing. She went right up to Sami when Sami got there and gave her a hug... sweet cute girl!
They have this Dora slip n slide that has a pool at the end of it and Sami didn't play on the slide but loved this pool. She would get in it and stomp. She got real used to the water when she slipped in the pool and got the whole back of her head wet. I clapped and didn't act alarmed and she didn't even cry! What a girl!
We also had a picnic and everyone brought there own stuff to eat. I brought our picnic basket with snacks for mainly me. Stacie had crackers and brought down the table with raisins and Sami is not usually a raisin eater but I knew if everyone else was doing it she would. This is Sami, with Jackson than Claire and other neighbor Lilly! Cute kids all played well. There all in between the 2 and 2 1/2 range. It's amazing what the 2 1/2 year olds know compared to Sami.
This is what she did for the majority of the time she drank the water that was squirting onto the slide. It was house water but she enjoyed it thoroughly. It was so cute. I was so entertained because than she would stand up and take her hands and wipe the water out of her eyes! My cute girl! I love when she is fun like this, but we got right in the car afterwards to come home and she fell asleep, so it was good timing. That morning we had to take grandma R to the chiropractor since she has had vertigo this week and hasn't been able to drive, than went to Safeway. Through our insurance I got a survey to fill out and when I sent it back it was entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card. I won, so we had $50 to spend at Safeway. I picked up some things for the trip and some things to make a meal for a friend. We are having there Chinese food tomorrow night I love it there, it is so good! I have been begging David to eat there with me and he has not wanted to but when i went there today it was only about 9:30 and so they didn't have any of there food out and so I was sad. My sweet husband took pity on me!
As we were headed home to get ready for the play date Sami took her shoes off, and poor girls got the worst smelling feet, well not really. When the summer started we found her a pair of crocks at Children's Place to wear as sandals, and I liked them because they protected her toes, but she takes them off in the car, and on the way home she was also eating fruit snacks, the smell of those 2 together was not enjoyable and all I could think about was the fact that we are driving to Yellowstone next week for a family reunion with my parents and I doubt they want to smell that so I called Dave up and went and bought her some new sandals. We hit up Payless and the only ones they had left were gold Dora ones. She likes them and they light up and her toes aren't enclosed so they will be much better!
Last night I was busy... I get these huge bursts of energy after dinner, and before 8 and so I have a few hours to spare. Sami watches shows and gets every toy out and Dave does homework and so I pull out a project. My cousin who is due any day now saw my Nursing Cover I made for Daphne posted on my Facebook and wanted me to make her one. I am charging $15 if I have to buy the fabric and my labor but she had her own fabric and so I just charged her $7.50. It was way fun. Hers is the black flower one. The other one I made for a girl I visit teach who is having her baby the first week in August and it's a boy... I love the train fabric, thought it was adorable and so If I make any more boy ones unless people suggest a color I will do the train one... but yeah It was fun.
Now I gotta work on pj pants for my daughter and her 2 girl cousins that are going for the reunion, thought it would be cute for them to match... besides good advertisement. I am making them to sell as well at our next Ransom Made Event in October. My brother and his wife do so much for me and my husband with watching Sami etc that I figured I would make them there's as my samples for the different sizes in the pattern to get good at it!
I will probably post more pics tomorrow. It's going to be a busy weekend. Tomorrow is my OBGYN apt and than we are swimming at my sister's and than Saturday we are celebrating our 3 year anniversary which was really yesterday so busy weekend full of picture opts!
