Talk about a great day spent with my wonderful husband!
Since I am leaving tomorrow on vacation with out him because he can't get the time off, we decided we would spend a day together in prep for our separation and it turned out great because it was also a celebration for our 3 year anniversary. It was 3 years ago on July 22 (which was last Wednesday) when me and David were married in the Columbia River Temple and promised to love one another forever. And believe you me it was just as hot that day at 10 am taking pictures as it was this past week...
These are pictures we took of each other sitting waiting for our food at Tony Roma's. Dave had never been there and it is one of those places that my mom loves to have lunch on nice days and so I have been there several times, besides back in the day when it was first opened it was hopping, the place to be. Sadly because of the newer restaurants they were pretty slow. It was lunch time though. We dropped Sami off at my mother-n-laws house around 12 noon and hit up Tony Roma's for lunch to beat the crowd. It was great. I had a french dip and a cup of there baked potato soup (my favorite). Dave had there sausage soup and there asian salad which he was very satisfied with. I was satisfied with mine as well but I should have just gone with a bowl of there soup and a salad because there salads are fantastic and that soup is amazing.
We got done around 1 or so and we didn't know planning everything how long it was going to take and so our movie wasn't going to start until 3 and so we had close to 2 hours to kill. We headed over to our favorite strip of stores the Best Buy, Michael's local. I ventured down to Ross, Famous and than finally ended up at Michael's. I love that joint. I didn't spend more than $6 though that is pretty good for me. Dave was browsing at Best Buy and Office Depot...
By the time we got done it was close to 2 and so we headed to the mall to buy our tickets. After we bought our tickets we walked around venturing into various stores and than headed back to the theater. We saw "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince". We didn't buy any snacks to start with but once we got in and sat down the prego belly called and so I went and got the medium sized pop and pop corn. From now on I think I'd be good with just the small. The medium sized drink was gigantic... and we didn't finish the popcorn of course. It was $11.75 for just that man they sure charge up the rear for that food. If I would have had cash I would have bought myself a plastic bottled pop from one of there vending machines and snuck it in... goodness me.
When we got out it was close to 6 and so we headed to my mother-n-laws to pick up the Sami girl. She had a great time but was ready to go. Dave decided to spoil her since she had been without us for 6 hours and so we went to Toys R Us. We don't go there unless we are buying something because she just loves it too much. We spent $11 on a play microwave with play food. It is pretty cute. And all the stuff that came with it fits in the microwave so that is a bonus for cleaning up, even though I find lettuce, and cheese fake slices around the house. I guess that's what we get. That morning she had been in a clumsy mood and had fallen twice in 15 min. Once off the piano bench and the other off our bed onto her play stroller. Poor girl cut her hand and got a nice shiner from that episode.
When we got home I realized we hadn't taken any pictures together and so we did.. of course got to have a kissing picture... they always look so awkward.
On Friday I had an OBGYN apt and so my sister Suzie baby sat Sami for me while I went and when I picked her up we had lunch than played out side in there pools. She has two boys one is 5 and the other is 2 1/2 just 6 mo older than Sami. The older one likes the big pool and the little one prefers his little pool.
I made the mistake of dressing Sami after she saw the boys in there suits and so she wouldn't put on her swim suit. Good thing we were just in the back yard... she wanted to be just like them. It even took convincing for her to wear the swim diaper. Goodness what am I going to do with her. We ended up leaving after she had a tantrum because she couldn't figure out how to squirt the water out of that gun thing she is holding. What a toddler she is.

Well life is good and when i get home from vacation on Sunday I know I will have loads more pictures to show be prepared... for that and stories of managing a toddler on vacation with out daddy. I am dreading it already. I have prepared as much as I can and as long as my parents bring the portable dvd player We might just survive!
