Holidays are hard when we don't get to spend them with family and so we try our hardest to make our own fun, it's getting easier now the girls are getting older, but we need to get a bit more adventurous.
Usually what happens is I make the plans and Dave says yes or no... we decided to just have a picnic at a park we have never been too, and than take naps and than after dinner we would go to Zips and have ice cream. It was a warm day but not too hott and I am kinda yucked out by river water swimming... maybe I just got sick of it after so many childhood days of it... unless I am on a boat... it's not worth it... We went to Fish Lake... or Fish Trail Lake... I forget but it's pretty and it's only about 15 min from home... It's got this nice boardwalk through the park...
And the view is great... there are houses on the other side of the lake that have there own private docks... now that's nice...
Ezra enjoying our adventure in his pack on my chest.... asleep the entire time...
I love taking pretty pictures... until I see them after wards and they just aren't as pretty as the real thing... of course... i can't capture it... but this is a pretty tree with a bench around it shading the boardwalk...
Sami and Daphne love crossing the monkey bars...
really cute pictures until Daphne decided she wanted to pinch Sami's hand... it's never ending the contention between them...
she pulled herself up...
Daphne climbed up this weird ladder to get to where she is and left her sippy and baby dinosaur at the bottom and is now requesting them... i had no clue she brought the dinosaur with her... she doesn't hide stuff she just traps them in her hand... silly girl!
Well we had a great day and it was a lot of fun. After Zips ice cream we came home and watched Independence Day which used to be one of my favorite movies... now it's just kinda cheesy... Bill Pullman does not make a good president... least to me... but he is still a good looking guy! Will Smith makes the movie he just has the best lines.. "freaky geeky" and many others.. i was laughing a lot at them... There are private fireworks in Cheney, and so at night we heard them going off, maybe next year we will keep the kids up to go watch some... maybe we shall see.
Oh I rented "Just Go With It" haven't seen it since it first came out and wanted to see a good Jennifer Aniston movie and of course Adam Sandler... two of my favorite actors... well i laughed my head off at this one part in the movie where they are walking into J.D. Funnigans and this little boy is running in front of them with a drink and he stops and turns around and chucks it at his pregnant mom running after him... it was hilarious... perfect example of crazy kids... when they had just had too much fun!
