Our last day of pre-school with a group they had a Halloween party, it was a blast, and the kids were so cute in there costumes. Stacie was amazing and had us bring stuff but than she had stations for the kids and they had a blast. These aren't in order because I was having issues, but it still makes sense.
They were making scarecrows here. A box of raisins, with a taffy head, toostie roll arms, and smarties legs, very cute, (ohh I almost forgot about those toostie rolls.)
There was a been bag toss, Daphne had a blast too...
The game fell apart and so we were trying to put it back together... I made Sami's wig for her costume. You can see the back of it here.
Sami painting her pumpkins. You know I have never painted pumpkins before but I tell you that seems like a lot smarter than carving them and it's a lot less of a mess. We didn't do any carving this year and so our pumpkins will probably last a good while.
There was a witches hat ring toss. The other little boy is Teancum and that is his dad Ryan. Ryan is a good friend of ours, it was fun having him there, there was another dad there as well, very cute that they came to help, I know Dave would have loved to have helped too, he has been so busy with work, but that's life!
This is right before the melt down of the day happened. I tell you this whole thing where kids fixate on something and that's all they can think about, it's starting to get super old, and getting her mind off of it, is horrible. They were making spiders. The sucker was the head and than they put pipe cleaners as the legs and than were gluing eyes on the sucker. Needless to say, the eyes ended up stuck to Daphne's shoes, and there was a time out in the bathroom with Sami as she had a complete melt down. I finally told her about Oreo's and she calmed down enough to go out and rejoin the group, but seriously... I know, I know every kid has this problem, I just loose my cool and that is it, my biggest weakness is loosing my cool, and so this is a good opportunity for me to work on that.
Here she is. I knew she wanted to be Ariel for Halloween and so my original thought was to make the costume, but after buying all the different fabrics, It would be well over $20 and I found this costume for that and so what the heck. She loves it. I did make the wig. I was going to buy a $10 wig, but I knew it would be a dress up item she would wear a lot and I didn't want to be picking up hair all over the house and so I spent $2. 50 on yarn and didn't use it all, to make the Ariel hair.... it looks a little crazy but it gets the point across and she loves it, so that's all that matters.
We played bingo. We took the stickers put them on the board and than used skittles to play the game. I played the game, Sami ate the Skittles, it was fun though!

We had snacks at the very end. Cookies, Oreo's with licorice legs, and punch. You can see all the cute costumes. A knight, Princess peach, Minnie Mouse, a shark, butterfly, power ranger, and another knight with a black cape!
