Fun at the Park!

Get ready, we love the park and so this is the first of many posts of this year, of fun at the park!
We visited the Union park, which will become a second home to us later this year when the sprinklers come on, but we were here after reading time in the library! At first there was no one there. I sat on the bench and fed Daphne in peace and Sami played... Check out her Valentines Day shirt... yeah I know it's past, but I made her wear it today just so I could take a picture of it, I am a weird I know! I was taking a picture of her static hair, but you can't tell in this pic... there is a better pic! A full Daphne, doing what I wanted her to do, sleep so that Sami could play, last time we attempted this she just started crying and we had to leave!
Check out my double stroller, I bought it from a friend for $70, the best $70 I have spent in a long time! The only faulty is that it doesn't fit a car seat on it anywhere, but hey in 6 mo Daphne will be in a big girl chair anyways! But don't ever ask me to put anything in my trunk because with this massive thing nothing else fits.
Oh... on that subject... We decided that we need to break down and start looking for a second vehicle... a wait for it... a VAN... yeah I know... I am going to be a VAN owner... yikes. We are looking for something used that isn't over $10,000, and we can lease... if you spot one somewhere, let me know! We need one before September. Sami starts preschool, and ballet (if she gets potty trained but it will happen!) There were so many kids at the park at this time, she takes time to go down slides and kids kept pushing her. Sami doesn't push back, she just walks away and pulls a hurt/disgusted face! This day there was a little girl going around pushing and pulling her away from everything so I had to intervene and follow Sami around! Static hair! It wasn't too long ago when she had to be taken around the play ground and lifted onto things, this was not fun, but now she can just play and play and play she is my little climber and I love it! It's so much better than what she was doing last year at this time, which was knee walking!
Well, I see all these posts and pictures of peoples where they go on fun trips and I get real envious but than I realize that I have a life that some of those people want, I have 2 beautiful daughters, and food on the table and clothes on our back, we are all healthy, and things are good, I love my life I love my family, I wouldn't trade this for any thing, not even a trip to Greece! (well maybe, I really want to go there :o) )

I'll take Hawaii over Greece. This morning I was thinking, "Tate and all little tots must be usually so happy because they don't know that there's a Hawaii that they haven't been to." =) Anyway, wish you could've come yesterday. Looks like soon you'll be able to when you get the family van!

I love taking kids to the park. We will go there with you again when it's warmer. =)
Vans are great! I hope you guys find one that works for you.
Sami's static hair is super cute! She is adorable.
I understand the last thought of reading other blogs and wanting to do all the fun things they are doing. That's why I really like to post day-to-day things and make them fun. Partly for me-so I can remember what my kids did when they were little and partly to show that you can have fun where you are inexpensively or free.
