So, we are a family that always makes sure we have our camera near and charged because you never know when your going to catch the perfect moment, and lately we have been having some good ones, and so Get Ready... Get Set... Go!
My girls being sweet to one another ...
Daphne holding her mouth open... waiting for food... it's what she does best! You know when she is in a good mood when her mouth is open! She has so much happiness that's all she can do to express it!
Sami, playing mommy as a jungle gym... which mommy loves, can't you tell!
Getting ready to go out to the Easter egg hunt...
Sami's thoughts.. "So I actually get to hold this, and go put stuff in it!"
"Ok, so I thought we were going, I'm all set, what are we waiting, for, don't you know by now I don't have patience"
Getting Daphne all ready to go out, she is one big chunk and so holding her is tiring... Sara's thoughts: " how the heck do I buckle this up?"
"Oh, that's how it goes"
"We are all set, this hides my fat belly but not my fat thighs"
"Ok, seriously Dave, lets go, she is heavy"
We picked a small piece of the yard that was behind our building. We were supposed to go to a egg hunt a couple of weeks ago but with Dave studying I wasn't up for the challenge of the girls and so I did what I do best and was a home body that night, but you gotta admit when I want to do something I put some good effort into it. We set it up to do the hunt with Sami's friend Teagan who's parents are in our ward, and than we also invited the Torrese's... that live down stairs from us. They have a 4 and 2 year old little boy and than a new born baby and so we had 4 kids searching, it was great, I made up the eggs... each kid got about 10 eggs each plus 2 special eggs with money in them. It was a windy success.
Sami, freezing, she didn't want to wear her shoes and so she pays the consequence I would have been forceful if I thought she was going to be this cold, we weren't out there longer than a half hour! I'm praying the kids don't get sick!
In the far distance our group of egg hunters, it was a great evening and we have made plans to get together next month for a bbque. Juan Torres has a nice phat bbquer and so that will be great. They both have floor balconies we don't so we just enjoy there's with them!
After the egg hunt I went to my mom's to finish my chores... I'll explain more in a minute... and when i got home Dave told me all about Daphne and her teething biscuits. She loves them, and since we feed her until she should be full and she still wants more we give her those. I will be honest when we got them for Sami, she didn't like them but she didn't really get a chance because Dave would eat them... I got a different kind this time, that doesn't taste like cinnamon!

Well I had a scary experience today. I needed to go over to my mom's to clean her house it's my side job, and so I used the stroller. I have been walking to my moms off and on with the girls since it started warming up, it's great exercise and the girls love the ride, they enjoy it more when it's not windy of course. Well, I was walking down the main road that goes from my place to my parents place when I was walking in front of some houses and a car pulls up next to me. I glance over my shoulder and am immediately startled, I just assume they are parking and getting out to go in the house and so I start walking a little faster to get out of there way when they don't park and they move forward to keep even with me. I notice than that there are two guys in this car with tinted windows and so I whip my phone out and phone my sister who was meeting me at my mom's, that was when they pulled away. They round the block and came back through going on the across street. I was 100 yards away from them as they were stopped at a stopped sign, and I stopped dead in my tracks and pulled my phone out again.
My husband came to meet me at my moms to see the girls on there lunch break and I told him and he ended up packing the stroller and taking us home, and we decided I will not be going on walks by myself anymore. I would like to think on the positive side and think, well they were just testing something out on there brand new car, that had the paper license plate in the tinted window, and that they weren't thinking anything about us, or that they had the wrong house but since I am a "What if thinker" I automatically put my guard up and assume the worst. I am a mother with two kids, walking by myself down a main road that gets traveled but with two guys I am no match. It's sad to think in this day and age we can't just go on walks with our kids... with out thinking someone is going to snatch us, or that we can't go to the park with out having to keep a constant eye on our kid if there are a lot of kids and parents around with no kids... My sister told me that I am living right (which I am) and I am being obedient and so that heavenly father will protect me, but I am reminded of something I read recently that said that, he will protect you when you are putting yourself in the right situations. But when you openly choose to put yourself in harmful situations there is only so much he can do. I knew better than to walk by myself but at the same time, "A life lived in fear, is a life half lived" If I sit home and worry and worry there is a lot that could happen to me and my family, but worrying bout it as my husband always tells me," doesn't help anything". I think in this situation I learned that it's not safe for me to do that and it's not necessary, there are a lot of places I can go on walks that are safer and that I won't put my family in harms way. I am going to listen to my instincts and pick those places rather than the other. The way is always provided ... with out a doubt, it's always provided.
So all you mothers out there get a walking partner and carry keys... they are a great weapon and of course your phone! Be careful if you are listening to your ipod because you just might not hear someone next to you!
