I love the fall and winter time especially when it's foggy, raining or snowing. I love when your driving and you can't see because it's so bad, my husband loves to not go anywhere when the snows coming down the most but honestly that is my favorite thing... just gotta drive slow... I know I shouldn't want something that is harmful.
I took this picture out of my daughter's bedroom window. It is the fog rolling in. I love it... I love it when its foggy it makes your house feel so cozy and warm. I can't wait to go up to my parents property/cabin and be in the middle of the woods with the weather happenings all around us!
I don't know about you guys but it has been a crazy month for us, and it just started. Apparently after Daphne was blessed it was time for her to get sick, and so we have been in a humidifying frenzy making sure she is very humidified because everyone knows with kids basically under 6 mo there is nothing the doctor can do, unless it is bad and we don't want it to be bad, and they will just tell you to humidify. Annoying of course, it doesn't help the fact that in our apartment it is old and so we have the base board heaters and so it makes the air very dry. So I have been a very stay at home mom the past week or so. It is kinda driving me bonkers.
Of course with staying home a lot I have been taking more pictures with the girls and some are kinda boring but I have decided that it might be annoying to have a lot of pictures but seriously they grow up way too fast! Sami loves to turn our front room into her own jungle gym, I don't mind she does clean up when you ask her too, and when we are at home for the day why not... one of these days it will be build a fort day.
Miss Daphne all bundled up ready to go out. Her grandma Barb made this for her as a baby gift... it is adorable. She slept the whole time we were out on Saturday in her car seat she was so snuggly in this sweater/hat combo. Thanks grandma barb! My technique when dealing with sick kids is keep them warm. I have decided if your warm than that's better than being cold and your less susceptible to get too sick. So whether they like it or not, they are kept very warm!
Dave taking unwanted pictures of me... I look good I will say I have been trying to loose weight and am down to 150 so hmm 20 more pounds and I will be satisfied.... some day. But I had to buy more shirts of course and pants I put all my maternity clothes away and bought new pants. Wal-Mart I have decided has the best deals because if you are in the process of loosing weight why buy the jeans at American Eagle you really love and look great in that are $40, just opt for the cute $15 pants at Wal-Mart... and shirts.. the shirt I am wearing cost me $6 it was an OP Ocean Pacific shirt... never my style before but it's cute and warm!
Since Daphne was sick I opted out of church and Dave took Sami to sacrament. Since we are eating healthier he has been able to fit into his old church pants... he looked like James Bond with his tighter church pants and his almost pointy shoes... you can't see them but it was hott! My husband is hott!
Dave pulled this out of the closet and decided she was big enough for it... she enjoys it and she is getting so strong... we will sit her up leaning against the back of the couch and she will not fall over for at least 2 min. She gets so comfy that she falls asleep in this chair and her neck hangs so I feel bad... (wow check out the muscle definition in my arms... all those years of gymnastics are still with me... that and lugging around babies)
My mom gave me the greatest idea... and of course I hadn't really thought about it... sometimes you don't think of things that are the most obvious, apparently. I was complaining about my carpet and how Sami loves to play play doh and so pieces get stuck in the carpet... she said... put her at the table... well yeah brillant... I tried to play with her and she won't let me.. .just dad!
I love the face she is pulling... cracks me up. This is just to show you all that my big 10 pound baby who is now 21 1/2 in (gained an inch in height) fits comfortably into 3-6 mo clothes...
This is my favorite of her outfits... the shirt is all one piece. and the pants are polka dotted with felt ribbon trimming at the ends of the pants... wow they really go all out for babies to look cute! I got this at Fred Meyer with a gift card I got for her... so cute! Of course it has to be completed ensemble with the head band... I had to buy her new head bands because Sami's old ones were all stretched out... bummer.... 4 in a pack and I love the hott pink!
So i have been trying a new tactic with my rowdy out of control 2 year old. giving her what she wants. within reason. She wanted up yesterday while I was cleaning the kitchen and so I picked her up and than I was trying to make myself breakfast and so I set her down on the counter she stayed there awhile she didn't want to get down.... I didn't argue with her.

I didn't argue with her. My other thing is I guess I brought it upon myself but I got some bubble bath to use and decided since my kind was the same price as the Dora kind I bought it... (even though I am really against Dora, she loves her) so we used it in a bath the other day and than today she was all bath so I put her in while I was on the computer a wall away, and she just wanted to sit in there with her bubbles... more like me than I think I am noticing... I love bubble baths.. when I get the chance to enjoy them!
So me and Dave were up last night talking... we have our favorite moments at night after Sami goes to bed. We read scripts he helps me understand what it's talking about, and than we tease and play, and well last night I was having a rough night kinda feeling bummed out about stupid stuff, and so than when I got over myself I went out to cuddle with him and we started talking about Christmas and what we are going to do for each other. Any family reading this yes it is true I am growing up. Well we agreed we didn't want to get each other what we ask for... we are going to give surprises... I already have 3 planned for him and he has some ideas for me. Seriously my favorite part of Christmas is giving and now that I am older it is more surprises than knowing what I am going to get. Last year we got each other a Wii and that was great. But this year... I could ask for gift cards to buy clothes but that's just no fun, and I could buy him a video game but he can get those himself... no we have decided for now surprises things that neither of us have any clue about... as our years go on I know we will change and want different types of things but for now... cheap surprises is what we are all about.
Well, hope you all are safe and warm... get the chance and watch the movie "UP" it's pretty dang cute, awesome details... we got ours at Toys R Us for $24.99 and got the blu-ray, dvd, digital copy, extra's combo and also got a free plush "dog" toy with it... (one present down for Daphne) it was a cute show...

Hi Sara! I was going to go to Union playgroup today, but my mother-in-law stopped by at that time. Anyway, I hope your kids are feeling better! I have to tell you that we hit Eddie Bauer last night and I got a couple pants for $15 with a nice fit for us in-betweener sized women =) They're have a 1/2 off the clearance prices stuff. Anyway, if you get a chance, you might see if they have anything that works for you. I also bought a couple button down shirts that have a little something to the top and then flare at the bottom, which you know if great for nursing. Have fun with Christmas surprizes, I love it!
So cute! We will definitely have to get together as soon as we all get over our family cold. I'm excited to see cute little Daphne in person.
Such adorable pictures Sara!
So UP is a good movie huh? We really should get together sometime. I am sure Claire would love to spend time with Daphne and Sami.
