Friday Sami and me stayed home all day and than Saturday Dave had the day off so we had fun as a little family... (oh... above pic is of me on Saturday all swollen so done with being prego, and hott so I didn't feel like fixing my hair.) We had to go get new land line phones because our other one that we have had since we have been married only lasts for about 5-10 min after being on the charger all day and so being on hold with insurance companies wasn't happening. We also grabbed some lunch at Burger King and than came home. Yes, we aren't very interesting. I worked all day well most the day on RMD crafts which when i finish will be posted on my "Simply Sara Home" Blog for all to peruse before the event on the 16 and 17th of October.
On Thursday we went to Target and picked up a few things for Sami. I bought her, her gift that the baby is going to give her at the hospital when she first comes to visit her and meet her, and a real pillow for her bed (which she loves), and Dave saw play do and decided she needed it. Cheap entertainment apparently. Saturday morning when i was cleaning my mom's house they played with it for 2 hours while watching "Kung Fu Panda" he is smart and only brings out 2 colors at a time, they are all mixed but that's ok.
I was cleaning the kitchen and making dinner while they were playing and I decided they needed some cookie cutters, that is always what I used to play with my home made play do when I was younger. They had a blast as you can see.
Dave even made Sami her very own play do bracelet which she didn't wear for that long. She loves girly stuff... I can't wait for Halloween the costumes I have planned for her and Daphne are going to be adorable!
Here is our spread for dinner. We have been eating rather like Kings lately, and I will tell you why. I have been planing cheap and easy meals. Tomato soup and cheese sandwiches, eggs and muffins, very easy and cheap things. Well other than the fact that we get WIC which covers dairy (milk, eggs, cheese) and cereal. We have been getting so much free produce lately. I guess not completely free per say but we don't pay for it. On the table you see besides our pasta, sauce and garlic cheese muffins (which I love so much) a bowl of honey dew melon, and watermelon.

When Dave and me were dating and engaged the summer of '06 we ate so much watermelon. It is the best fruit to eat because you don't get sick by eating too much because it is mostly water, and so it just feels you up. Dave with his work, Agrowmax, a fertilizer company he gets a bunch of free produce. He gets potatoes, corn, and our favorite Watermelon. Hermiston Watermelons. We got a ton of veggies last year from his dad who works in Boardman on a farm who also is a big Agrowmax customer. They have been testing with Agri Northwest and so I don't know if the potatoes come from there or somewhere else. It's great though I don't complain.
We also get veggies and fruit from Dave's mom the avid gardener and it's so great. Every time we see her we get a bag of tomatoes and the other night she gave us the watermelon, dew tomatoes and a pepper, so great.
We also get veggies from my grandparents who are very avid gardeners... they are so generous. There garden is un real. It is like walking on a real farm, which just proves that grandpa Paul was a real farmer. Someone in my family asked them what they were going to do with all the food and they said... give it away... they are so generous.
My husband loves pasta and so I am always trying to spice up the meal so that it's not so boring, we did change from spaghetti noodles to the shells. I am going to make him stuffed shells one of these days if I remember.
