Ways to Save Money

We are in the middle of re-evaluating our budget and I am looking for tips I haven't heard yet on how to cut expenses, so to make myself feel better I am listing all the ways we save money and maybe if someone has a tip we don't apply suggest it for us! Thanks

* besides my husbands work cell phone (which his boss pays for) we have a pay as you go phone that is $20 a month depending on how many minutes we use, and it cost $15. (it's an in case of emergency phone)

* have internet for David's school and are about to move to Verizon to make our phone and internet cheaper. We use the cell phone less since we have a land line, unlimited everything on that.

* we are driving our Suzuki Esteem into the ground and haven' t had more than breaks and a new wind shield problem. We only have the one car, and it's paid off, so only gas and insurance on the one car.

* often times check out the discount stores for in-expensive toys for Sami, and usually don't buy her new toys unless it's a holiday or a discount.

* I don't check out books for her because I am afraid of the damage she could put on them, but I hit up the Friends of the Friend section at the Union library, her books are 25 cents a piece, it's fantastic, just keep packing tape handy to tape the books back together.

* got rid of cable and have over the air channels and so bought a $10 antenna to get PBS.

* we don't buy new movies, we either borrow, or we have Netflix and so for around $10 a month we get 2 movies out at a time and so our watching is unlimited.

* When we eat out, it's off the 99 cent menu.

* I keep an ongoing list on my fridge for things we need so I don't make multiple stops at the store, because believe it or not they add up.

* Plan out meals for the week after looking in my cupboards to see what we have to use it up.

* If clothes aren't hand me downs we look for sales and often shop at Wal-Mart or Target for the sales.

I know we have several others but this is all I can think of, anyone have any suggestions.
