Fair 2009

Since I got a free ticket and Sami got in free, we decided to grab NaDell and her kids once again and head to have some fun on Kids Day!

I got my act together and after doing a load of necessary laundry we met up and headed up to her brother's house to park and walk to the fair grounds. The first thing we did was to look at my items that I submitted. I can't tell you how nervous I was wondering what ribbon I got, hoping they didn't just say, not good enough we aren't even going to post it... well as you can see I got 2nd place on both. My sister and her family went on Tuesday and she couldn't find my items, She was looking for something different but you can tell how hard it would be to find someone's stuff unless your actually looking for it...

In the same building they had a coloring station for quilt blocks they put in a quilt and give to sick kids. So here we are. The girls Sami and Vincent... but they didn't get the opportunity to add to the quilt! Here I am monitoring Sami's coloring... Than we went to look at all the animals and found this cute backdrop with lambs on it... I gave Sami the oreo's after putting her back in her stroller after the coloring, she didn't want to get in... of course. We walked around and got a bunch of free stuff... but while waiting I found some

shade and it was in front of the pony rides... Here is Sami eating her free Pasco Police sucker.

Than we got fries and sat down by the duck pond to eat them.... NaDell took the kids over the bridge while I rested... NaDell had these great candy necklaces for the kids... Sami enjoyed some of hers... Here I am stuffing my face full of nutter butters while wearing the free kids Kadelac hat... it didn't fit too well as you can see. Vincent was so tired... I guess he got up extra early that morning... We left there around 1:30 and made the trek back to the car and came home. Me and Sami each got a well needed nap in and than picked up Dave from work. We came home had dinner and than went back to the fair for another hour or so with Dave. He got bored real fast. I wanted to walk around and listen to the Beach Boys but he wasn't up for it. They are looking at the pigs in the kids section Walking over the bridge Checking out the goats...

It was fun, but next year I want to go listen to one of the bands... I guess if I start bugging the ticket getter early enough maybe I will have success.

When we left we had to go to the hardware store to get stuff to fix our dryer so I can wash clothes... we got what we needed than decided to get desert at McDonald's since we didn't pay for anything extra at the fair except for Dave's entry. My sister and her husband were there as well it was a good close to the night. My body was so sore it was good to be home. Now I just need to focus on getting my house in working order and wash clothes so hopefully we will have success in fixing the washer and dryer up.
