Today I had a big milestone happen, my little girl turned 2. Last year we walked around the whole day re-mincing of being in the hospital and all that happened and how she was ours and it hadn't felt she was 1 yet, but this year, I know that she is 2 because she acts like a 2 year old should, and of how tired I am with putting up with the attitude of a 2 year old!
We started the celebrating on Wednesday (yesterday) by going to Toys R us and buying her last gift. It ended up being last 2 gifts but oh well. It was a little people doll house, we had the choice from getting the neutral colored one or the pink one and since most of our kids will be girls why not! She isn't that interested in it but I know once we find the correct batteries and she can push all the buttons that will annoy me after the first hour, she will enjoy it a lot more. The better present was the fact it came with a Little People DVD movie. it's only 25 min long but she likes it. I also got her that purple chair, it has tinker bell on it. So than she can have a chair to sit in that isn't fold-up to watch TV and play and stuff.
Tradition in my family was when you wake up you get to open your presents from your parents and so since we got her the two yesterday, and she will get 2 more at her party on Saturday we gave her two this morning to even it all out. It is a curious George doll that is dressed in snorkel mask and swim trunks.
And two Curious George books. I love $4 books, and since we have basically collected all the Clifford Books I finally found $4 Curious George books at Barnes and got her a couple to go with her doll.
We took Daddy to work and than went to visit Grandma to see if she wanted to go have breakfast with us before our picture apt and we didn't clear it with Grandma first, she had a apt and so we went by ourselves. We had apple pies and milk. We of course had to eat by the play place and since it is her birthday I couldn't object.
Playing in the toy.
We got done with breakfast around 9 and had an hour to spare before the picture studio opened at Wal-Mart and so we walked around and looked at whatever. I than took her in the arcade and I should have taken her there first she loved it. I couldn't change my dollars and so she didn't get to ride any of the rides.
Our pictures went well and we get to pick them up on the 1st so I am excited for that. I splurged a little and got speciality pics but it was cheap and so I thought what the heck. I am excited for sure.

I am excited for sure. Than we went back to Grandma's and she opened Grandma and Grandpa Ransom's gifts since they might not be able to go to the party.
They got her a pooh bear that is so soft and cute, and the same size as her (basically).
And a play guitar, that is the cutest thing ever. It has 4 buttons that play a specific song like, "Message in a Bottle" by Police and "Wild Thing". She enjoys it. It even has strings she can pluck and a throttle or whatever that things called to make the echo... (david's not here to tell me) David thought it was cool, of course, now she can play with her dad.
We tried for a photo op with Grandma but I think she was pictured out.

We than went to visit Daddy at work. I just gotta say that I am so happy to be a member of the church and have a testimony, and be worthy to go to the temple and take the sacrament. I am so blessed to be able to pay my tithing on time (our) because honestly the blessings are enormous. I swear I married the most spiritual, faithful guy ever. He is so awesome We have been through a lot and he has always been the positive one and has never freaked out, he always says, the Lord will take care of us. I doubt it less and less as time goes on. But once again another blessing.
Our breaks are going out and they make bad noises. And as most of you know that's not cheap to fix. Well David works in a garage at USA garages on Edison and across from his, there is some guys that run a car fix up shop and so he started talking to them the other day and explained the problem, and they said since they are constantly doing favors for them (like letting borrow the fork lift) he would just have us pay for the parts (like $25 bucks) and he would fix it for free... come on now... what a blessing. That is just one of many we have been receiving lately. It is crazy, it's usually one of those things where we are going oh man we can't do that because we don't have the money and the money just shows up, or someone gives us something we need etc... I'm telling you pay your tithing, do your callings, go to church and you will be blessed extremely and someone else is usually blessed through you as well. Don't get me wrong, I don't do all those things expecting blessings, I do them because I want too, and the blessings don't always come when we need them they come at the right time, and in different ways each time.
Anyways, we were visiting Dave to get the guys to look at the car, to make sure it was the problem we thought and they left to go get lunch right when I got there and so I was trying to wait and well it didn't happen because of Sami and her own mind and free will. So we will try again tonight. But David had fun letting her sit on the seat of the fork lift that was off. She climbed up there on her own, and he regrets showing her how to work the horn.
I love my family and I can't wait to bring Daphne into all our fun. Well this is entry 1 of probably 3 for Sami's birthday, so thought I would split them up. Enjoy! Have a good day!

Happy Birthday, SAMI!
Looks like a lot of fun presents already. My girls loved their Little People movie, almost to it's death. They make cute shows.
Can't wait to see Sami's cute new picture.
Thanks for sharing your answered prayer story. Those help all of us remember why we do what we do.
You are great!
Happy Birthday Sami! I remember when she was just a baby in church. Why must they grow up?!
Sarabeth has those same Jammies. That is so cute. It looks like she had a great birthday!
