Daphne Jean Mason

I must apologize in advance before I share the news with you for those of you who are close family and friends that we didn't tell you right away but being Mother's Day weekend getting ahold of you was harder. Please forgive us and we will call you!
Today after dreading and looking forward to this joyous occasion we found out what David had some how known all along, husbands really do have the gift I guess. That we are going to be welcoming a new baby girl into our family at the end of September, to be named Daphne Jean Mason. I know we have been announcing it to be Lillian Jean but David decided that he doesn't like the association he remembered of an old guy friend with that particular last name and so he came up with Daphne and I quite like it and now I am, going to be searching out a Daphne doll from Scooby Doo to keep me company until I get my lil Daphne.
Our apt was at 3 and despite my anxiousness and nervousness we arrived on schedule. We decided to make it a family affair. I warn you expectant mothers who might also have this hair brained scheme not worth it. Sami could have cared less... but she is 2 so of course I should have figured. The ultra sound was an hour long and very detailed. The baby was moving around quite a bit and kicking the tech a lot. I guess I should have laid off the caffeine prior... oops! She got pictures of everything she wanted I thought. It was sure interesting I know a lot more about my uterus now I guess. David ended up taking Sami home in the middle of the ultra sound.
At 4 I was done with the Ultra sound and went in to my regular doctors office to wait a half hour to be one of the last patients of the day to see the doctor. He Doc Andersen (who delivered most of NaDell's kids, my sis-n-law, and who is in my parents ward) came in and measured me and all that good stuff than asked me to come back in 4 weeks for another ultra sound because they didn't get enough pictures of the heart... heck why not, the more the better. I pray for extra looks at my baby. David picked me up around 5:30 and we went through the Arby's drive through and got me some moz sticks and roast beef sandwich... than we came home and watched the episode of the Office we missed last night.
I honestly was feeling a bit overwhelmed by the day and am still feeling quite so and so I needed Sara time, and Sara time consists of browsing these days it's Target of my choice. I headed to Target once I got Sami to bed and browsed around. I was going to purchase a onesie to celebrate but it was a summer one and so I decided against it seeing I am having a fall baby. But I purchased the oh watch you call them... thin blankets perfect for wrapping a new baby in, well a set of those in her bedroom colors (purple and pink) which match the set I want to get for her, and than I got a bath mat (finally) for there bathroom... it has pink and orange towels in it and so I got the cutest bath mat that is a huge flower... love it... this is why i browse sometimes you gotta just find the right thing. It was not what I expected to buy but saw it right as I was about to leave go figure... so cute! I will post a picture of it later when I finish there bathroom decor. I have been waiting to decorate it completely in case I had a boy because than I would have needed to make it neutral and so now I can just do cutesy flowers and stuff. I know I think about this way too much!
This is one of the best pictures the tech got of her face. She puts her hands by her face (just like her mom) the other picture she got had her mouth open and since she is still pretty small it was kinda odd looking. It was funny, right as she got the mouth open picture my daughter was saying momma momma from the waiting room and so I told the tech, just like her sister. This is to show she is a girl... These are her feet...
While I have been waiting to go in for this apt everyone was asking me what do you want? Well of course every mom says something to answer but honestly I was just nervous about having a healthy baby. She has all her parts necessary and that relives me most of all. It will be cool to see her again in 4 weeks to see how she has grown.
Well wish us luck! And again to family and friends sorry this is how your finding out.
