I decided I needed to post these wonderful priceless photos because everyone needs to share in our joys!
Last Friday night we had a ward Christmas party, I might have mentioned it already, but before the party started they had a Santa and someone to take pictures, well I didn't know how she would do, but I decided I would at least try, as you can tell by the picture, it wasn't a success. It was a fun party though, they didn't have a main dish, they just had appetizer's and desserts, which we filled up plenty on. They also had a bunch of kids crafts, I took Sami and helped her be apart of it all. She had a good time, needless to say.
This morning I was in a mood to clean the kitchen, deep clean the kitchen and I am never in that mood, and well Sami of course likes to help. She used to help by just taking the silver ware out of the silver ware holder but with steak knives that is not such a good thing, so I keep the silver ware holder on the counter out of her reach while I load. My newest concern as you can see is that she likes to unload the dirty dishes after I have loaded them, and than she likes to put them in her mouth, I decided I would capture the cuteness of her, standing on the dish washer as usual and the face, well that is Sami in it's entirety, I told her to smile and that is what she did, it is a happy face, she is so goofy, I guess like mother like daughter.
As you can probably tell we were at home for the day, she wasn't feeling well I guess, and I didn't feel like driving in the new snow that dropped over night. We did however get out to experience it all, we planned to just go out and wait for dad to get home and than go in, but when we got out there I remembered that dad had to run an errand after work and so we walked around in the snow for a bit and than grabbed the camera to snap a picture. Man, I guess I am not a very good mom taking my daughter out in the snow when she is sick, but who knows how long it will be here, this is Kennewick after all. I do have to mention though, where weather is concerned I think the rest of the world definitely gives Washington a bad name about that. It is rather funny, I was reading "New Moon" by Stephanie Meyers today and Bella (for all those Twilight fans), and there is a part in the book where she comments about the weather and how it rains so often where she is living in Washington, and than makes the comment that it is Washington after all, hello rest of the world, not all of Washington gets as much rain as the northern part of the state. I just thought it was funny, maybe a few of you chuckled too when you read that part.
Well, back to the picture, Sami was just sitting there and I thought I took a pic of her just sitting there and than this picture, but this was all I got, and well she was learning for that few min we were out there today, that this white stuff is very cold, the face she is pulling is because she just put her hand down to crawl away and (since gloves are impossible for her) she got a very cold hand, we went in right after this, and I warmed her hand up in water, she was fine than.
Since I am kind of having down time with crafting and designing in my normal stuff, I decided I would put my knifty knitter to use and made this scarf to match some gloves my mom made me couple Christmas's ago. I am going to post them on Ransom Made and sell them so for who ever is interested, they don't take me that long that make and so I will have colors listed and stuff, haven't decided quite on a price, as of yet.
Well hope your week is going well, ours is going well, just enjoying the weather and the fact that it feels more like Christmas with the snow than with out, and enjoying having David off from work. Have my piano recital Saturday so, so excited! Later.
