It's been a crazy month, I keep forgetting to update my blog, but here I am.
We haven't been doing anything extra fun just living life. I have spent the last month preparing for the Ransom Made Event, and now that is over I feel like I have my life back.
I made these cute masks, and they were a hit, I also updated my capes, and added, Captain America, Iron Man, Spiderman, and Wolverine masks, they were fun, i will be adding Hulk and Thor to the collection and possibly some of the Justice League. I will also be making Super Girl capes, and since my boy ones are half Batman half Superman, it's only fitting that my girl ones are half Bat girl half Wonder Woman. I am kinda using the new Little People line as my models. I am glad my husband is a know all when it comes to Super Hero costumes or I would be clueless!
Ezra in the past month has learned to sit up (about time) with out automatically throwing his head back to the floor. And he can scoot, backwards, and he wiggles forward. When we went in for his 9 month old check up he was having some eye troubles and so we will be getting those checked out to make sure he doesn't have a lazy eye. The doctor suggested we get his feet looked at since he was constantly turning his foot in, but I just started having him use his feet more. Puting him in his walker a couple times a day and having him practice putting weight on his feet. He has dramatically changed in the past bit. He will jump up and down a couple times before collaspsing and giving up, and when he is in his walker he puts his feet down and pushes backwards... pretty funny, it's his new trick. I was vaccuming today and so I put him in his walker and kept having to push him out of my way because he kept moving backwards. I am ok with the not crawling yet, that will make my life harder, even with the movement he does... he gets him self into enough trouble already. Typical baby who can move, puts anything small in his mouth off the floor, eats everything he can get his paws on, wants our food no matter what it is, and grunts at us when he wants more. He is a pure delight. He has started sleeping better at night which is nice and I am looking forward to weaning him soon. He turns 1 on the 30 of May, we will just be hanging at home, and will have a party with family in Kennewick later on.
Sami, is doing really well in school and learning to read and play better with kids. We have been attending assement meetings for her, to help her learn better and speak better. After my meeting today with 5 specialist and her teacher, they think she might have Asperger's Syndrome, and so we will be gong in for a medical testing with a doctor to find out for sure than starting the therapy for that. Her school is so great, they have so many teachers there to help with all these things, she will get all the therapy that she needs to help her improve her understand of things around her. I love her so much and want what's best for her, and I know that, that will all turn out right in the end, She will go on to lead a normal life and be the better for it in the end.
Daphne, will be starting Pre-school at the elementary school in the fall. She will be doing speech and other therapy type things to make up for her not hearing before. She is getting better every day and it's getting easier to figure her out. She still communicates at times with noise and not words and so i have to remind her to change. We are working on potty training. Some days she can and some days she can't, but it's always a slow move for my kids... or just me in general. i would rather have another baby and have 9 months of morning sickness than potty train. She has improved with primary and now sits with her class most of the time during sharing time. She is quite the character and her mood is always reflected by how much sleep she has gotten. I love this little bean and am excited to have her at school in the fall. She will only be gone twice a week.
Dave, just started his Spring quarter, it will end the same time Sami's school gets out for the summer, and than Dave will have a week off before starting summer quarter. For his degree it takes a lot of classes and he can only do 3 at a time, so we are gradually getting closer to the end. We are guessing graduation will be Spring or Summer of 2015, I know that sounds like a far ways a way but for us, it seems pretty close, and it will hopefully go by pretty fast. He keeps himself busy with working a couple days a week, working out 4 times a week and doing his Elder's Quorum calling in the ward. In December David started a submission for a comic company and because of schools demands he just recently finished the 5 page layout, you may have seen the pictures of the pages as he has posted all of them on facebook. He would really like to work for a company doing comic work, if not a full time job, or just a job to get him through school and improve on his talent. He researches everything he does and found a pre made script on line and it's made for this kind of thing and so he just drew his pages accordingly. He will also be preparing a Animation reel to mail into Cop Cal comics with this comic submission.
Well, I have updated you on everyone else besides myself. Well Life has been pretty busy as I said and now the fun part starts... well RMD prep is fun, but the other fun i am talking about is my home. When i was in town for the event I had the chance to go see my good friend Rachel Adams house and felt myself very envious of her new lodgings wishing I was in her possition, but am of course very happy for her, her husband was in school to for a long time, they deserve to be happy in there own house as well as anybody else, but I felt myself wanting more space... which is always the thought right. So the fun I am speaking of is organizing, and straightening and beautyfiying. Things that I have always loved, but have never stayed anywhere long enough to care about to this extent. We have just passed our 1 year mark in this house and 2 year mark in this ward,... HORRAY!!! you might think is that all, but seriously it is for us. We have never lived anywhere or in any ward for this long. We have lived places for a year, but that's about it, we have never lived in any ward for 2 years. We lived twice in the same ward, but that is the closest it has come. We will be 4 years in the same ward by the time we are done with school, and 3 years in the same house... (if we move it will be a unfortunate circumstance that I don't forsee) We are comfortable, we have enough space, and now I am getting settled for the long haul. You know how it is, you move into a home but it takes awhile to get comfortable... I am getting there findng what I like and don't like and what works for us and what doesn't work. So i am starting my spring cleaning. I started yesterday and it's going really slow (gee I wonder why) and so if it takes me awhile I am good with that... least my house will be clean.
Besides having fun in my house I have been spending a lot of time at the gym. I am able to go workout at Eastern's gym for $35 a month, it's a discount since Dave goes to school there. He pays but they take it out of his tuition. I go most nights around 7:30-8:00 and get home around 9:00. I jump on this machine called the AMT 835. It's the Adaptive Motion Trainer made by Precor. I was working out on just a basic elliptical and would burn just under 400 calories in a 60 minute period, but than I switched this machine and loose anywhere from 750-800 calories in a 60 minute period. It's amazing... I wish I could buy one for my house... it cost just under 9 grand. I told Dave if he some days makes millions I want one... thats the only way I could conceive ever buying a machine that cost as much as a car... or a inexpensive car. But it's great, ever since I started working out my stomach issues i was having have stopped, and I have so much more energy and I sleep better. I have had an emotionally draining day or I would be at the gym right now... I can't keep pre-occupied enough with music and wouldn't be able to keep myself from singing out loud and so I down load books onto my Nook and read while I am there, it's great. I have lost 6 pounds in the last month and a half, and that was weighing myself after having not worked out for awhile... I am very excited to see my body change an adapt, hopefully it's doing its job and lowering my cholesterol as well.
Well I must move on and browse pinterest before turning in... hope everyone is well!

Such fun pictures!
I'm always glad to hear an update on your family.
I'm excited for you that exercising with that cool machine burns so many calories and helps get you fit. It's even better if it helps your tummy troubles! You'll get there. Don't stress too much. =)
