August....

Our family is full of Goofy times...
(Daphne with a purse on her head)
 Happy Times....
(The highlight of my day)
And a lot of great surprises a long the way!
(Sami's beautiful hair with the coolest curl I kept eyeing it all day I was jealous)
Sami is my adamant, strong willed daughter....
Daphne is my crazy girl that reminds me of Yoda in Episode two and three when he is doing all his fancy moves...
And Ezra so far is my chubby big baby! He is weighing in at 12 lbs plus... and 23 in long, that was on the 30 of last month over 10 days ago... he enjoys sucking on his thumb sometimes...
But his favorite thing to do is smile and talk... when we sing to him he sings with us, and he talks to anyone who will talk to him, and he eats every two hours still and sometimes at night he will stay asleep for 4 hours in a row... but no matter what he wakes up and eats and goes right back to bed so it's not as big of a deal that he eats so often still since he is pretty good at going back to sleep, he has even grown out of having to sleep in bed with mom from 6 am on.
A lot of fun things have happened this summer, most of them pretty predictable but this last Saturday I took the kids to the park with some McDonalds and I met a 58 year old lady who thought she knew me, we got to talking and she is not Mormon but she certainly had her opinions. She went off about polygamy and I assured her that there was a time when our church first got going that it was necessary, but than over time it was not and it was against the rules... I told her if someone is a polygamist and mormon, than they are being dishonest! She felt a lot better and I felt good at helping her see around a big misconception a lot of non members have, she kept telling me how much she respected the Mormons for there family values... and I was very glad she said that because it is being destroyed... gays and lesbians... people living together before marriage or with out marriage, divorce... it's very comforting that we are known and respected for our family values since that is one of the main basis for the members of our church!
My favorite part of the day is when I get to play with Ezra... he plays with me and David and is starting to play with the girls a bit. We are going to be in trouble once he can hold his neck up, and when he learns all his hands can do... I put him on his belly on the blanket and he pushes off with his feet and scoots himself across the blanket.... he is above his age by far where that is concerned... it's crazy!

I am getting excited for school to start because that means a couple things, it will start to cool down, we will start preparing for Christmas, and Sami starts kindergarten... keeping Daphne occupied during the day is not nearly as hard as keeping Sami occupied... but thanks to the free city wadding pool it sure makes life a lot easier...
Even Ezra enjoys the pool in the safety of the shade!

If you look on my Simply Sara blog than you can check out my capes, but I took the same symbol from the cape and applied it to a onsie of Ezra's... so cute! of course he had it on for half the day than pooped out the back of his diaper... he is so cute... I have never had a baby that bubbled as much as he did... is that a sign of cutting teeth? if so I am going to freak out... he isn't allowed until he is at least 6 months old...
check out his hair... i love it... it's totally coming in... it was all spiky and now it's laying down...
 i love him!
It's still weird to me that I have a son! I love it!
