Ok, an unusual post for me... no pictures...
Today started as one of those days... where I just wish that I kept my mouth shut, and just wanted to go back to bed... but as it was... it ended well.
Took the girls to the store to get a few essentials... chicken, milk, crackers... and on the way home I was texting at a stop light... but stopped when the light turned green, and than after turning the corner the road goes from two lanes to one and from 45mph to 25mph, just as I noticed I was going 35 mph in a 25mph and took my foot off the gas and breaked I noticed a cop in my review mirror and than kept watching waiting for the lights.. and sure enough.
I pulled over... thinking... oh crap... more money we don't have out the window, I shuffled through my glove box to get my registration and the cop came up and said that one of my break lights were out, I said oh... I said I thought that I was speeding. Than he asked for my license, registration and proof of insurance, well had two but not the last one... the worst one not to have... I told him I had one that expired in August and so he went back to his car.
I felt the tears brimming and the girls quiet down, they knew this was not good, he came back and he said... I am going to save you $700 dollars today. He said a break light burnt out is $150 and I no signature on the registration is a $150 and no proof of insurance is $500 and he let me go, I thanked him of course for that he was being nice today. My hands shook as I pulled away knowing that I was being taken care off and that I was truly thankful for such a kind hearted cop that could have just made $700 off me... I think I like Cheney.
Than After getting home the tears came in earnest, I attempted to fix the problem I had created that morning and the previous day, and than I made the girls mac and cheese for lunch and cried through a prayer where I gave thanks for not getting a phat ticket.
Than I ate some yummy soup and sat down and watched "Must Love Dogs" my all time favorite movie... I don't know why... just bad to worse kind of movie...
Dave got home at 3 and than a dear wonderful friend came by and brought us 3 bags of groceries and a gallon of milk. We were talking about how we are waiting for our husbands loan money to come in before school starts so that things will get easier for both our families financially and well long story short she knew we needed some extra food... and she had the extra "funds" to do that for us, it was such a big blessing and I know I will repay her someday...
The last couple of months I have been really ungrateful thinking man we pay so much in tithing.. where's the blessings and we hadn't gotten any... like big ones like these two I got today... but I humbled myself and repented and the blessings came... Heavenly Father just knows when you need it the most and saves up sometimes... he is just mysterious and so grateful for that in my life! The thing that gets me most is that yeah sure I can give thank you cards and say thank you... but sometimes like in these two cases... it just isn't enough, but i know that those two wonderful people are so greatly blessed by being Heavenly Father's helpers. I love the gospel... I don't know how anyone can live with out it!
