Christmas Eve we gathered at my parents house and had dessert and appetizers and than did the nativity and had a blast. Aunt Nancy and Kurt were there and they had gifts... they spoiled us! Thanks guys. Than we came home and came home to a big surprise. We got secret Santatad... if that's a word... on our door step was a basket overflowing with fruit and a bottle of sparkling cider and than after I took the cellophane off I found a jar of coins and money... it was crazy and a huge blessing. Because of things that well, don't ask, anyways the money was a huge blessing and I pray that whoever was so kind had a great Christmas... it was amazing and they are truly in tune with the spirit! Thanks! So yes Christmas started off great.
Since we are still a young family we are still working on traditions. I think a new tradition I am starting is making blankets each or every other year for the kids... and have them unwrap them and there new pjs on Christmas Eve. My sister Cindy's family does Pjs and so I think we will do that as well. I didn't plan well and so I didn't get me and Dave some... but the girls loved theres!
Ok... I can't remember if my last post talked about Mrs. Daphnes shinner... well.. a few days before Christmas the girls were playing. I was going to the bathroom and Dave was checking something on the computer. Well I heard crying and than Sami say "Oh No" Dave rushed out to comfort and find out and than a hour later the shinner appeared. I can almost imagine. Dave said a blanket and a table were involved. I am imagining Daphne was standing on Sami's blanket and so Sami pulled and Daphne fell... oh well. I am not worried... it's healing... just not very fast. It didn't swell hardly at all. And the doctor yesterday didn't say anything about it. I do appreciate all the comments I have gotten at the store... everyone mainly just says... is she walking? Oh and she took her first two steps tonight before she realized what she was doing and sat down... she's not even 18 months yet so I am not worried she will in due time!
After the present opening I read to the girls the new book Aunt Nancy gave Sami, about princesses. And than they went to bed. Sami wouldn't fall asleep until after 12, and after I told her if she didn't go to sleep I would take away all her presents. (wow I felt bad saying that, but it was so bad... and she was a crank so much the next day.)
In the morning line up before opening gifts.. a tradition in my family going to try it.. Sami wasn't in it!
Daphne was more interested in the wrapping supplies and what everyone else got. She got some little people sets and all the ark animals imaginable. And some books.
Dave got Gran Trisimo, a new movie and some surprises from me.
At my parents house waiting to open gifts. I got us Eastern shirts to prepare us for Cheney!
Cinderella baby jeffrey cousin gave Daphne.
Grandpa gave Sami a leap frog... she loves it... it's so great. A young kid version.
I got new pots and pans... but my real gifts come in the next few months a new couch and a van... (they aren't Christmas gifts) I bought myself several books and than Dave surprised me with tetris party and its my new obsession!
Sami got 7 princess dolls. Jasmine, Belle, Ariel, Rapunzel, Snow White, Cinderella, and Princess Tiana! We also got the newest Beauty and the Beast, Princess and the Frog. Santa was good to the Mason's this year!
Random after Christmas pics... Daphne getting into the dishwasher... silly girl!
My home girl... she totally fits the part... cocked hood and black eye poor girl... after she got the black eye she kept putting her hand over her eye I felt so bad... I love my family. I have a hard time showing it sometimes but they are fantastic. They light up my day and I would rather be with them amidst craziness than anywhere else! Wow such great blessings!

Looks like you had a terrific Christmas! I like your pots. The glass lids look cool.
What fun traditions! I took the hallway picture at my house too! You will have to make me something tasty with those pots and pans:)
