Earlier this week a friend in an email sent me the previous "All About Me" and I sent it back to her and was honest, completely. Me being honest is also another way of saying I had fun with it, I was silly and I was sarcastic. In our household we have a saying "I did it just to get your Goat" that is what we Mason's are all about! SO in keeping with my silly "All Bout Me's" Here I go again! Even if it's a similar quiz my answers vary because I enjoy doing these any chance I get because it's just funny to me to say off the wall stuff!
1. Mayonnaise or miracle whip?
mayonaise... I can't stand miracle whip... is it cool whip is it mayonaise... yuck. I wasn't raised in a house where we ate it and so therefore I don't like it!
2. What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a Veterinarian, that was until in high school when I took a zoology class and it sucked so than I decided to be a Recreation Education director as in, Parks and Rec, but than during college when I was on a camping trip for the degree I realized how much I am scared of wile animals especially snakes so I gave up. Now I just want to be a mom, crafter and I have a fantasy of someday writing a book and having it published!
3. Dream car?
A Mini Coup. Ever since I saw that movie "Italian Job" where they drove them inside the house... I have wanted one, but in all honesty they are not suitable for a family so now my dream car is a Mazda CX9, yeah but dream on!
4. Dream occupation?
I am in it already, I am a mom and get paid in hugs, kisses, and milestones and I can stay in my pajamas all day if I want too, and watch as many Disney movies and Episodes of Dora as I want. I do have to clean and change poopy diapers but I get to craft and cook and take care of my great wonderful family who greatly appreciates all that I do!
How did you learn how to do so many different kinds of crafts and how do you get your ideas?
I love to craft and so that is part of it, but a lot of my ideas come from my brain. I will think of something I want and than I figure out a way to make it. If that's not it than it's from tid bits I see in magazines or on other peoples blogs. I never make something exactly the way I see it, I always change it up and make it the way I want it to look like.
Favorite household chore?
I would have to say organizing. I love a good organizing project. I know that doesn't really sound like a real chore but to some people it is. Today I went through the girls drawers and pulled out all there out grown clothes sand put them aside to box up, and than I had just done there laundry and so I matched up pants and shirts and folded them together and so it's much easier when I get them dressed in the morning because the outfit has already been picked out. It's something little like that, that makes dressing them a lot easier.
Lease Favorite household chore?
taking out the trash especially the bathroom one (because it always overflows, or the dirty diaper one because it's so stinky), that is actually my husabands chore and so I rarely do it. Other than that it would be cleaning the bathroom... yuck! I did just ask my sweet husband if he would be in charge of cleaning the toliet from now on, and he agreed to that, I think that's a fair trade off. I clean the rest of the bathroom, if he does the toliet!
Favorite sound?
Sami and Daphne playing together. Sami, when she is not being a grump butt can be really sweet and Daphne just craves her attention. They are both hams and both equally crave there individual attention and so when I am busy or Dave is busy it's nice that they can keep each other entertained.
Least favorite sound?
whining!
Favorite word?
I love when Sami says "No Way" it's not very nice but it's so funny! She picks up these funny little sayings and her little voice is so funny and the way she talks since she can't pronounce every letter yet... it's so cute!
Favorite book?
I don't have one... I change the mood I'm in for reading so often. I guess if I would have to choose it would be "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" I still need to buy the 4th one and read it, but they just suck me in and they hardly have depressing items in them. I love Jane Austen but I read it always to help me clear my mind so I can fall asleep!
Favorite movie?
Right now it would be "Accidental Husband" I love the ending, or "Dan in Real Life" I love the shower scene (it's not what you think)
Favorite kind of craft?
Making cards... I can start making one and than get an idea for another and just keep going. I love when I get an opportunity to make someone cards because I get to create it the way they want it done! It's challenging!
Favorite holiday memory?
So many to remember. I would have to say Me and Dave's first Christmas together because we were so poor and spend $50 total, and it took us like 5 min to open our gifts and we lived in utah and so we didn't see family that day... it was the day we decided we needed to move back to Wa!
All time best thing you ever ate?
I love eating anything with chocolate... i would have to say the chocolate cheesecake from Cheesecake factory... they used to sell it at the Barnes and Noble bookstore in our mall when I worked in the mall, I would go down there all the time and eat it. It was a promotional style during the Christmas that year and I haven't had anything like it since. I think it had like some fruit with it! Cheesecakes in general are my favorite, especially real ones!
When do you find time to craft?
I make time, when the girls are watching a movie and playing... I work on tid bits here and there. For instance today I cut out some flowers while I sat on the couch with Daphne and Sami watching Toy Story. Than I made some jewelry while Daphne was playing on the ground and I was watching a movie. I hardly ever sit and just watch a movie because I feel like I always need to be doing something...
I have heard people say, "Where do you find time to craft? I don't have time" In all honesty and I hate to say this but every true crafter knows, if it's something you really enjoy doing, you'll find time. Your kitchen doesn't always have to be spotless (I clean, clean my kitchen once a day, that's it), I vaccum every other day. Seriously... for right now it's probably a lot easier for me to craft than it's going to be when my kids are bigger and busier but, I love doing it so much that I will find time.
What shows do you watch?
We don't have regular channels just over the air and most of the time they get screwed up, so basically the TV is on for TV viewing in the morning to watch PBS. We have the luxury of Netflixs instant and so we are constantly watching movies or TV episodes off of that, or a movie. We do love watching the Office and so we will just download it and watch it. Or I watch Glee the day after it aires on FOX. We have an Xbox 360 and apparently Hulu is coming to it and so that will make watching our shows a bit easier. If I had regular cable I would spend all day watching TV and get nothing done. In the future I doubt we will ever own regular TV channels.
What's your favorite thing you've ever made?
That's a tough one because I change my mind so often, I make something and really love it for a while than get bored of it. I think the two favorite things I have made since being married and still love, the first one was a collage of our engagement pictures and I loved the paper and stuff I used I still have it, although for lack of space it's not hung up, and the glass got broken out in a move but I love the pictures. I actually put it together to show at our reception but forgot it. The 2nd thing is a cross-stich I got of a girl picking up shells on the beach, and I finished it before Daphne was born, and I framed it and it's in our bathroom, I love it still, and since I love the beach we will always have a beach bathroom in our home, it will be hung up for a long time!
What's your favorite baby gift to give?
Picture frame, or whatever I am into at that moment for babies.
How old are you? ;)
I am turning 30 in September and dreading it! I feel old, because I am, but I know that I have a lot to show for being 30. Two kids, and I am married. The only thing we don't have I would have wanted would be for my husband to be in his career job and for us to have a house, but that will come! We got married right before i turned 26 and so I think I am doing pretty good!
Is your home super organized?
Funny you ask because... I love to organize. Walking in my house you might not think that, but in all honesty when you get right down to the nitty gritty, my house is very very organized. All boxes etc are organized and labeled. I know where everything is and everything has a home. My front room, does not show my skills in organizing but " I have received awards for my organizational skills, I have typed them up on my own computer but still", You'll understand that quote if you have seen FRIENDS. I am always searching for things to organize. I am constantly wanting to organize stuff in my moms house, I honestly love to organize. I study it up, I am always researching better ways to organize certain things, or store something etc. Believe me for a small 2 bedroom place, we have a lot of stuff, and it's very organized!
Well enjoy... I got this off someones craft blog and thought it might be fun, because as I said above I love doing this things... writing for me helps me think better! Besides I love when people do these on there own blogs because than I get to learn about them. I doubt many of you know how Organized I really am!
