Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone and Merry Christmas preparations!
Our computer graphics card crashed about a week ago basically and so since we have a warranty we just sent it in to Apple, they paid for the shipping and handling both ways and we got it back today, not a bad turn over if you ask me. I wasn't too sold on Apples before I met Dave, not that I have had a bad run-in with them, but the only thing I had ever used them for was in school computer class. I am what you can now call an Apple maniac... I guess, it's not that I had PC's but I have been with an Apple for about just about 18 months or so and I love it.... well enough of that.
As you can see we had a good Thanksgiving. We spent the morning at home, while I finished up on making salad, rolls, and truffles. We headed over to Dave's mom's house for lunch and shared it with his mom, sister Rachel and Emily, his brother Brent and wife Mary-Ann and daughter NaDine. It was so good, I didn't want to stop eating.
Around 4 we headed over to my mom's house to get ready to eat there with my family. It was most of us, Torrie ate with her husbands, family, and well Cindy's in Utah, (a few months away from having #6) and so it was good, I of course got so full, my stomach was hard as rock.
This is a picture from that evening. The kids were coloring at the little table and I caught Sami putting the crayons away, I was so proud of her I had to take a picture... so cute! This is a picture of my newest nephew Vincent Ransom... she wanted to sit on Dave's lap and watch him play PSP.... so cute!
While most people were out hitting the shops Friday I was decorating my house for Christmas. This is a picture of our tree, and stockings. It is a 4 ft tall tree that I got for $9 our first Christmas of '06 and it suits us pretty well.  This is I guess either a head board or the top of something but it works as a great shelf. This was on the top of a huge drafting table that is about 3 1/2 ft tall and I dismantled that because I was using it as my craft desk but it got too akward, so I moved my other desk in it's place, took it apart and stored it in the garage of the place we are renting. Than used this bookcase that I have been told looks, as if it belongs to cover up a large whole that you can look into our kitchen from the front door, I am not fan of that and so I covered it up yeah! This is the cutest picture of Sami that I have seen well as of late.... her Dad took this of her, it totally captures what she thinks of the tree, we set it up while he was at work and when he came home she was telling him all about it! So cute! She loves Christmas trees and the shinning stuff on them, I am glad I have this one roped off but for how long we will see. This morning when we were at grandma's (Tuesday) we had to put a chair in front of her tree.
Another key thing in our lives... well last night before David left for class we had her walking back and forth between us. I was sitting on the couch and he was about 5 ft away on his knees and she took about 5 or 6 steps between us... she is starting to get it... hopefully by Christmas she will pick up on it... I am so proud of her it makes me so happy!
well take care
Oh and the picture at the begining of the Blog that is our newest family picture it will be in our christmas cards!
